This is a great little digital camera.  Most point and shoot digitals have blurred pictures.  Usually it is difficult to hold the camera still enough to keep camera shake from ruining your shots.  This camera is the exception.  The pictures are sharp and blur free.  It takes great shots in low light situations.  There are a few manual controls available.  —  I usually use a DSLR, but sometimes it's just not practical.  I have this coolpix as my companion when I can't take along my bulky, complicated Nikon DSLR.  It is small enough to… read full review »

I have had this camera for two and a half years.  My husband and I have not been happy with it since its purchase.  Big mistake!  We cannot believe it does not have sound for its videos (however, the newer versions do).  Our shutter is stuck open; other friends' coolpix cameras have shared the same problem, but there is nothing to fix it.  You have to learn how to use the settings properly or your pics won't take well.  The camera sometimes doesn't even save your pic, so you have to constantly check for them!  Overall, we are very disappointed in Nikon… read full review »

I bought this camera last year and I love it.  I got it to replace my Kodak Easyshare and I must say, this camera is a huge improvement!  It takes great pictures and is easy to use.  The only complaints I have are: 1) the shutter tends to be slow and cause pics to come out blurry a lot and 2) the instructions are rather complicated.  So it's entirely possible the slow shutter speed issue is fixable and I just haven't figured out how to fix it yet.  But other than than that, I really enjoy using this compact, light-weight camera to take great pics of my… read full review »

We purchased the Nikon 2 wks before my daughter was born.  She's now 2 1/2 & I guess I should be grateful that it's lasted this long but the the shutter lens is starting to stall out.  You have to turn the camera on & off a couple of times for it to open.  The picture quality is fantastic & it's fairly easy to use.  I just hope that the lens failing to open is not the start of a downhill… read full review »

If you need to take photos closeup, then this is not the camera for you. The photos blur when close up so it's useless for things like Ebay.
