I was very surprised at the poor quality in this little jar of salsa. I usually stick to the same brand of salsa, but I had a coupon that was doubled for Newman's brand so I gave it a try. I am not big on spiciness so I chose the medium version, and also the one with chunks in it. Wow, this was pretty bad. It was definitely chunky, but maybe too much so. There were huge hunks of onions, and what looked like yellow tomatoes in the bottom of the jar, these were very unappealing, we picked them out. Then there was the amount of pepper in this jar. You could see the flakes of black pepper throughout, and it was super spicy, in my opinion. I chose the medium jar so it would not be so hot, but it was too much. After a few minutes I threw the rest of the salsa out. Perhaps if you like spice you'll would like this, but I will not be buying it again.

Newman's Own All Natural Chunky Medium Salsa is a terrific salsa. It has a good flavor without being too salty. It has some spiciness to it, but isn't too hot. I particularly love the flavored salsas. Peach is my all time favorite. However, they are all a good consistency.

We're salsa connoisseurs around here. We make our own fresh salsa from the garden each year and can large quantities of it, and when winter rolls around and the salsa supply dwindles we end up having to buys some at the store. Newman's Own comes in many varieties, and I think this run off the mill regular medium salsa is the best of them. A lot of the other flavors are fruity which I'm not really into. It's not as good as Frontera or several other brands that we reach for first, but it'll do in a pinch.

I am a big fan of Newmans products. Newman's chunky medium salsa is another one of their products that I rave about to others. First of all, Newman's products are available in most grocery stores and are often on sale. Newman's provides coupons for this and their other products in newspaper circulars and online on their web site and Facebook page. Second, their products have all natural ingredients without any added preservatives. This salsa has a little bit of hot spices for a little kick of heat. Newman's has other salsa varieties that are either milder or a lot hotter. I prefer the milder variety with heated nachos and cheese.

Just bought a jar of Medium Salsa and it is the nastiest tasting salsa I've ever had! I actually found it in the pasta and spaghetti sauce section, and it tastes like spaghetti sauce. Only two choices; either mix it with some other brand of salsa or use it as a spaghetti sauce. Nasty!

I am a big fan of Paul Newman and love his products.  I purchased this Newmans Own All Natural Chunky Medium Salsa for several reasons.  First, all profits go to charity.  Most important, it is all natural.  So much food today has unnecessary and unhealthy additives.  This comes in a glass jar of 16 ounces in mild, medium and hot.  It has zero fat, zero cholestoral, only 2 grams of carbs, less than 1 gram of fiber, 1 gram of sugar, zero proten and a low sodium of 105 mg.  I always try to buy the low fat and especially low sodium products which are much healthier.  I have tried his salsa in many different recipes like soup, dips, taco casserole, etc and it has always added a great flavor to the dish and made me feel like I was providing a healthy ingredient into the recipe.  His products are widely available and they will not disappoint you.  I love his dressings, cookies, popcorn, etc.  You know by the name that you are getting a higher quality product than most other brands.

I've learned to be realistic about salsa -- if it isn't fresh or refrigerated, I frankly don't expect much but **maybe I was wrong** ... here is a "*shelf*" type of salsa sold in a glass jar which lives up to its slogan ... "*So good it oughta be outlawed*!"  I probably will continue to prefer the taste of fresh salsa but from now on will make an exception for *Newman's Own All Natural Chunky Medium Salsa* which is so good that -- even if it were illegal -- I would probably stand in line to buy it.  This delicious sauce is billed as "*Medium*" but delivers a pleasantly hot, spicy taste and is made of nothing but recognizable ingredients like tomatoes, water, tomato paste, and a variety of fresh peppers including chili, green bell, jalapeno and red, onions, distilled vinegar, salt, cilantro, garlic and black pepper. **STATS:** Two tablespoons is considered to be a single serving which contains ten calories with zero fats and cholesterol, 105 mg. sodium, two grams total carbs, less than one gram fiber, one gram sugars and 4% Vitamin A.  What a blessing that this stuff is good for us (or at least not too **BAD** for us) because whoever thought that we could eat two tablespoons of this and stop clearly wasn't being realistic. **TASTE TIP:** Of course, *Newman's Own All Natural Chunky Medium Salsa* does a wonderful job as a dip especially for Frito Corn Chip "Scoops" but this salsa is also a great meal ingredient.  Spoon some over a helping of *[Birdseye Steamed Brown Rice][1] ,* top with a handful of *Kraft Three Cheese Crumbles *and heat in the microwave for about 45 seconds for a dish which is so good you would hunker for it, even if it was outlawed!    [1]: http://www.viewpoints.com/Birdseye-Steamfresh-Whole-Grain-Brown-Rice-review-552f3

I am vegetarian, so I am always looking for new ways to add flavor to vegetable dishes and *Newman's Own All Natural Chunky Medium Salsa* is the perfect topper.  It is a great blend of fresh tomatoes and peppers and has a great spicy flavor.  The flavor is spicy but not too bold and is a great flavor addition to any dish.  This is perfect with chips, but also great on salads, potatoes and my favorite veggies.  Each serving is only 10 calories, so this is a low fat and healthy choice.  I love that the salsa is all natural and tastes fresh.  It is a great topper for any dish.
