New and Improved Swiffer Sweeper® Review

I have used Swiffer Sweeper products from a long time now.  My favorite is the Swiffer Sweeper Cloth mopping system.  I have tried many products as a substitute for the wet cloth mop used for this system and while they were ok, they really weren't worth the money.  With the New and Improved Swiffer Sweeper with Febreeze I don't think I will be trying to save any money, because I found that in this case you get what you pay for.

What I like about the  New and Improved Swiffer Sweeper with Febreeze:

• the wet mop cleaning pads are now thicker and more absorbant
• more cleaning fluid in the mopping pads, they don't dry out as quickly allowing me to clean more floor area with just one
• new scrubbing strip on the mopping cloths
• fresh clean scent of Febreeze
• large size cloths, I don't feel like I have to stretch it to make it fit and it doesn't come out of the tabs
• better closing on the container box keeping my Swiffer Sweeper with Febreeze mopping cloths moist.

What I don't like about the  New and Improved Swiffer Sweeper with Febreeze:

• while the scrubbing strip is nice, its placement is bad -- it just doesn't "sit" where I need it to sit to scrub with.
• I wish the Febreeze scent was longer lasting, it doesn't linger in the air

My Viewpoint:  As much as I hated to face it, in this particular case I actually did get what I paid for.  The dollar store mopping cloths were ok, as were Walgreens (buy one get one that week!); but nothing can match the cleaning power of the New and Improved Swiffer Sweeper with Febreeze mopping cloths.  I can actually do almost all of the tile downstairs with one cloth as well as get some of the worst of the scrubbing done.  While it is not a replacement for overall mopping, it is perfect for a quick clean up after children or dogs or right before guest arrive.
