The staff were really great.

If you want to go for excitement in a hotel this was it.  Right in the heart of Times Square.  The security was great tho, checked Room tags when you went it.

The Lobby ground level is basically a waiting area and the main loby is the 8th floor, I think.) The elevators are a bit confusing at first. You have to read the elevator  number on the panel and then 'find' the right door.  Glass elevators that face inward.

The sushie people are awful.  Food is great but the waitress was a RUDE BITCH.  I paid $30 for a california roll and only 3 pieces.  Their dynomite roll didn't have a tempura prawn and I asked her about that and her sarcastic bitchy reply was all restaurants are different, we do what we want and name them ourselves.  It is our menu.  WTF.  Snotty.

The fitness ctr doesn't have a pool.  Something about airspace being too expensive.  The fitness ctr was pretty good.  Free apples and water.  Wasn't super busy.  Morning time late September.  Good equipment.  Treadmills and the like.  All in working order.  Very clean.  Well maintained.  They didn't have the elliptical machine I like, theirs was the front wheel type with the moving footpad.   Apparently they are going to be changing them over to the back wheel ones.  Working out looking out on times square was amazing and worth every penny

There is a starbucks that is open in the morning on the 8th floor.  There is a main starbucks on the ground level outside the theater side entrance.  I had a really good breakfast right across the street from the starbucks.  Decent prices and the food wasn't too greasy and fresh.  Ohh, the starbucks staff are super great friendly people.  Super personalities.

We went out for a dinner at "the view" restaurant at the top which is a rotating restaurant.  I was told the only one in NY.  The bill was over $300 but worth it.  The service was excellent.  There was one waiter ever 4 tables and he had an assistant.  As the restaurant turned our waiter pointed out all the building and landmarks.

The rooms were excellent.  We had 2 double beds and 3 people.  Maids were friendly and the rooms were cleaned well.  I left a note for extra coffee and 3 times the amount of cream, and they did that.

I did notice used food carts in the hallways for a long time.  6-8 hours.  Another fault was THAT THE FRIGGEN WATER WASN'T EVER HOT!!!!!  The bathroom lock was kinda faulty , you really had to fiddle with it.  Something that really bothered me was the double door was broken.  The people next door could open their door to our room and walk in if they wanted to.  I mentioned it at the front desk and they didn't fix it but they did say they didn't have anybody in that room.   There was also lots of construction going on outside.  That was a pain in the ass to navigate around.  Wood boards up everywhere.  Sept/07

Lots of excitement as well.  The consulate meeting was taking place and the Prime Minister of India was staying there.  There was also a meeting with other political figures.  The police also trained their dogs there.  Something was always going on.  The secret service was their 2 times that we saw.  My aunt got pushed by one of them because she doesn't listen,

If you book your tours through the 8th floor you get a discount.  We went on Greyline ny tours.  Red double decker bus and you basically get a 3 day bus pass.  You get off on whatever stop you want.  The one I chose had 3 different routes and you went everywhere including Brooklyn.  Our friends took another company and their bus brook down.  While we were in the View restaurant actually.  Then it started to rain. Their tour guide then passed out plastic children's rain ponchos that didn't fit.  The ripped.

The hotel is central to everything.  You can walk to central park in about 30 min.  Watch out for the scammer electric stores.  They haggle like don't ask what.

Their is a snake guy out front and you can get your picture taken with your camera for $5.  Cool.  The photo guys come out at night.  DON'T BUY $10 watch sets.  The watches don't work. Check the purfume you use.  Mine got switched from HUGO to HOGO plus a phony $10 in change.

All the play houses are near bye.  I felt very safe there too.

There is a great gift shot that has some sellers come in and set up a table.  Really beautiful custom jewerlly.  Really cool things.

Staff were great.
