I think this is a really good, all-around cookbook. You don't have to be a master chef to use it. The recipes are easy to follow and for the most part, the ingredients are common ones you'll have on hand. I dislike cookbooks with really obscure ingredients you won't find outside a large ethnically diverse city. It simply makes it too much work to make the recipes.
It's really nice too that it has a three-ring binder, stury backing and you can wipe the plastic pages if food spills on them. It's so much easier to keep the book open and new-looking.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a standard, easy to use, famiy pleasing cookbook.
