The New Braunfels smoker is an excellent barbecue pit for the novice or the pro. It has an offset smoking chamber that is great for quality wood used in smoking techniques of barbecuing. The regular barrel shaped compartment of the pit is fantastic for general barbecuing, for simple hamburgers and hot dogs, to ribs and chicken. It has a location for a thermometer if that is so desired. My personal experience with this barbecue pit included smoking two briskets and two chickens for 17 hours! I highly recommend this pit tor the beginner and the gourmet 'que-er too!
