What a strange yet compelling story

This story is very interesting.  I really enjoyed the creativity of the juxtoposition of the upper and lower parts of a city.  Just enough of a touch of science fiction/fantasy that it was something new - and yet, there is a profound sense of social justice commentary to make it heart wrenching.  Really made me think about how we treat those who are not "in the above of society".… read full review »

As usual, Neil Gaimen has a wonderful way with words, characters and plot. If you're looking for a book that strays off the beaten path and delivers what it promises, then this is the book for you.
