The cream works more as a foundation. The consistency is thick and creamy. You need very little to apply for your whole faces to be covered. Once this is applied you do not need to put on cover up. This works I do see a reduction in my sun spots. However I still see that my skin has a some what uneven tone. The cream contains sunscreen which is nice when I go out I do not have to apply any additional. I know that it works because when I went out in the sun I did receive a slight burn but not on my face. I think the cream has to be used many days before you would see a dramatic effect. I brought the light color and it is still a little darker for my complexion. So it has to be blended very well. I still use another lighter moisturizer at a different time of day. I am unsure if the coverage would be well enough as a moisturizer with no additional products being used. The price is of average value but often times you can find it on sale and use a coupon. I would say that the product is worth a try and that is doe work just not as well as I would have hoped.

I have been using this moisturizer. I've been using it for over 3 months. I have oily, acne prone skin. I have lots of uneven discolorations due to past acne scars. I also have large pores. This moisturizer does a great job at adding moisture to my skin without leaving any oily residue. It also helps reduce oiliness during the day. I'm often weary of purchasing moisturizers with SPF protection that has a really strong "sun block" scent. Thank God, this moisturizer does not have that scent even with 30 SPF. This, is a HUGE factor for me. Did my skin appear even with continued use? Yes it did. I'm not sure if I can give 100 % credit to this moisturizer since I also use a cleanser that have similar claims, but I am comfortable giving it 85%. I am done searching for moisturizers. I recommended it to my sisters and friends because it is definitely worth trying. It is a bit more expensive than some moisturizers but the concept of less is more also applies here. I am still on my first bottle and I use it everyday. I foresee getting another month's use out of it. Scent No SPF/sunblock scent

I love this moisturizer. It has a very light fragrance. Makes your skin feel soft and thoroughly moisturized. The moisturization lasts a long time. It also performs well without hindering makeup application or makeup wear at all. It also has the formulation of Helioplex with both UVA/UVB skin protection in the ingredients.It gives the skin a dewy feel and appearance, though not exactly shiny, but that subsides after about an hour , especially if you apply makeup over it. I have also found that this moisturizer/ sunscreen does not leave a oily appearance nor a pale ghost like appearance like most products of this sort do.An added bonus with this one is the fact that it is non-comedogenic and will not clog pores. Though for some reason , and this is just an opinion , I do not think that this product would work well on oily skin. Effectiveness The effectiveness of this moisturizer is very good.It really does it's job and claim in the moisturization department.My skin has benefited from it's use. I personally use over the counter products with hydroquinone 2% in them so I was looking for a product that moisturized as well as protected my facial skin from the sun with a SPF level around 30 and this product delivers.Though as far as evening the skin, as I said I use hydroquinone 2% products so I cannot say that this product has contributed to making my skin tone more even. But I feel as though I am sure that it has helped in maintaining an evenness after I stop using the hydroquinone 2% product on a daily basis. Ease of Application The ease of application is so nice. It is of a light consistency very much like a lotion and a smoothly applying product. Scent The sent is light and kind of floral in nature . Also the sent is not cloying at all.

**If I see a tube of this on the sidewalk, I'm crossing over to the other side of the street. There will be a visibly even....distance between us.  If you're looking for a good sun screen protection cream with heliopex in it, this would suit you well.  For evening up blotchy spots to the skin, go see your dermatologist for satisfactory results.  We as people throw away good money in pursuit of the perfect skin type.  Sometimes the gamble pays off and other times....Not So Much!  For me, this was the biggest dissappointment I've ever spent my money on.  Visibly Even has shown me nothing in that two weeks period of usage.   ** **I'm not a person who wears foundation based make up, as I'm into natural beauty, for this reason, I put my faith in Neutrogena Visibly Even for a few minor imperfections of the skin.  My everything was riding on seeing some type of improvement and it left me feeling baseless and flat. ** **I must admit, you will see a radiant glow to the skin, just for a moment, try to imagine blotchy, dark brown spots in your skin and it has a glow, not too aesthetically pleasing to look at...Huh?  I'm a fair-minded person, what works well for a hand full does not always work for a few.  I'm one of the few it didn't work for.  Bare in mind, all skin types are not the same kind.**

I have struggled so much in the past trying to get rid of dark acne scars on my face. I've used over the counter fade creams, department store fade creams, special skin soaps, made visits to the dermatologist, the list can go on. My mom actually had this lotion in her medicine cabinet and I decided to give it a try. Not only does it give your skin a healthy glow after application, it really does do what it says; it works. I noticed in two weeks a slight fading of the dark spots. This blend of ingredients, plus the SPF to block the sun from further darkening is the perfect balance. I will say that if you are looking for an instant solution, this is not a product for you. This is a product that will take time to see results as long as you use it on a daily basis. I have sensitive skin as well, and it does not irritated me.

I HIGHLY recommend Neutrogena Visibly Even Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 with helioplex.  It has essential soy that helps reduce blotchiness & the look of dark spots.  I am in my 40s, and have one really bad dark spot on my face.  I used this product for a few months, during the summer, and this spot is noticeably lighter! YAY!
