I love the high SPF but I prefer the aerosol version.
I tried this sunblock out in the aerosol version and it had quickly became one of my favorite sunblock lotions to use. I went on vacation to South Myrtle Beach and of all the things to forget to pack, I forgot my sunblock. I went to a local pharmacy hoping they carried some lotions in a higher SPF and I finally found the Neutrogena section. I looked but all I saw was the lotions. I couldn't find my favorite spray can so I went ahead and grabbed this up. It has the high SPF that I am looking for from a brand I trust. First of all, when I needed sunblock, I was very pale. We get to take a vacation each quarter so our first is in March. The weather is mild in the 60's and 70's but after a long winter, I am always very porcelain pale. I snagged this bottle of lotion up and opened it to put on. First of all, it doesn't have a protective seal on the bottle. I don't like that aspect. I do like the upside down design of the bottle though. This allows every last drop of product to drip out. I used this heavily on my shoulders and on my nose. Those two places always seem to be the worst for me. I tried to remember to reapply once every two hours but I think I could have gone longer without reapplying. I did do some light jogging up and down the beach but I didn't get into the water. The lotion comes out white and takes a little more work than the aerosol to rub in. I prefer the aerosol because I can reach my whole body myself. With this, I had to ask my boyfriend to apply it for me. All the negatives aside though, the sunblock protection with this is great. I didn't get burned a single time the entire week we were in the Carolinas. I didn't have any new freckles to add to the collection and I think I even established a little bit of color and tan lines while using this. I love the high SPF because it keeps my skin safe. It's also a good lotion to use year round. I kept the rest of the bottle and used it at the early Spring track and cross country meets. This lotion is also good for all skin types. I've shared it with several of the girls on the track team who are of various skin tones and they love protection it provides even for women who are already tanned or who have a naturally darker pigment. Scent It smells okay. It smells more like a lotion to me. Absorption I have to work it into my skin a bit more than I did with the aerosol version. Longevity As long as I don't go into water, one application usually lasts me all day. If I go into water, I will reapply every hour or so for added protection. Effectiveness This has protected me many track runs and saved my shoulders from more freckles. Ease of Application I prefer a spray over the lotion but it's easy enough to apply.
