We were about to leave for a beach vacation and I realized that we didn't have enough sunscreen, so I ran into the drugstore and bought a tube of Neutrogena Sport Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 70+. We usually use Aveeno because my husband and I both have sensitive skin, but they didn't have it and we've had good luck with other Neutrogena products, so I decided to chance it. This turned out to be a really good choice for us: long-lasting and effective, even in sunny 90+ degree weather. Scent Neutrogena Sport Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 70+ definitely has a chemical/sunscreen scent, but it's not overly strong. I don't mind it, especially because it doesn't linger once I apply it. Absorption Neutrogena Sport Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 70+ absorbs quickly and cleanly, without feeling greasy. I find that I need to apply it fairly quickly, so I don't miss spots, because it doesn't leave white residue or other marks! Longevity With SPF 70+, Neutrogena Sport Face Sunblock Lotion doesn't have to be reapplied often. I only put more on after showers/swimming/hand-washing etc., so it was perfect for vacation use! Effectiveness We were out in the sun every day for a week, and neither of us got sunburned using Neutrogena Sport Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 70+. As long as you don't miss spots (hairline, ears, etc.), it works really well. Ease of Application Neutrogena Sport Face Sunblock Lotion SPF 70+ is a fairly thick cream, so it's easy to apply when it's room temperature. I did find that it gpt runny and messier to use if I let it get too warm.

Not what it use to be and no longer good for my sensitive skin. Although I have been a loyal Neutrogena consumer for about forty years and counting. The sensitive skin sunblock 70 that is for active wear actually irritates my skin. It also leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I apply it to my face although I do not get it near my lips. It claims to be water proof but upon swimming it gets in my eyes and burns them. It goes on fine but I don't feel that it stays on since it gets in my eyes. I got a rash from it as well. Although it did seem to keep me from getting sunburn a rash is just as miserable to deal with. It is unscented and that is good. It goes on nice. It is easy to apply. It is easy to carry along. It is non-greasy and therefore it does not clog the pores, however I would like a little more creamy feeling at least on my face for moisture during the day that I am outside. I feel that the Neutragena line of products has changed over the years and this product is not good for my sensitive skin. Scent Unscented is good Absorption It absorbs very well Longevity It may stay on for a while, however I don't believe it stays on through the water and sweat like it says it will because it gets in my eyes and it burns. Effectiveness It is not effective for me because it irritates my skin and burns my eyes and I taste it in my mouth. Ease of Application It is easy to apply and not greasy or oily but it leaves the skin feeling dry because of it's lack of moisturizers.

My family uses a lot of sunscreen because we spend a good amount of time outside exercising, playing sports and much of that time is on the water. This Neutrogena Sport Face Sunblock Lotion is a favorite of ours for many reasons. It is effective in protecting the face from burning but it also is a good product for sensitive skin, which I have. It doesn't have a heavy feeling and isn't greasy either - you don't feel like your face is a big white blob of lotion! It is very effective for all of our needs that include sweating with sports and time spent on or near the water with the harsh rays of the sun. Scent The scent is actually pleasant but isn't like my favorite tropicals! Absorption Another nice feature is that while this Neutrogena lotion is so effective, it doesn't go on heavy or greasy. Longevity While I like to reapply sunscreen after swimming or sweating it isn't necessary with this product as it is long lasting and waterproof. Effectiveness Works as you would expect your sunscreen to perform. Ease of Application I like the tube, also. It dispenses well without being messy and is a nice size.

This is one of the few face sunblock that I have found with a spf of more than 50 and I absolutely love it. This stuff lasts a long time and works hard. You don't need to use a lot for it to be effective and one bottle typically lasts me all summer when using it daily. Scent I actually can't recall any scent from it. It definitely doesn't smell like your typical sunblock, which is a good thing, and allows you to use it for every day use. Absorption This sunblock is thickish but goes on so smooth and evenly. I've never had missed areas or weird white residue from sunblock that got left behind. It absorbs evenly and doesn't feel oily or caked on. Longevity If I am out and about for a few hours one application works great. If I am in the water or working out and sweating for a long period of time I usually apply again. I typically apply twice just for precautionary measures. I would rather put some on then be left with a burnt face. Effectiveness Works great. I can't recall ever getting a sunburn while using this sunblock. Ease of Application Goes on clean and leaves no residue.

I really like using this for my face, especially when I'm active. It doesn't make me break out, as some other sunscreens do, and it doesn't leave my face greasy, which a lot of other sunscreens do. It doesn't have any scent, which I like with face sunscreens, as it means less ingredients in the lotion. It absorbs into the skin easily and it stays on through water and sweat. Scent It doesn't have a scent, which I like better than sunscreens with a scent. Absorption It absorbs very easily and quickly into your skin and it doesn't leave your skin greasy or oily. It also doesn't dry out your skin, as some of the other sunscreens I have used do. Longevity It stays on for a long time, and i really like it. I've only got burnt a couple times using this and it's because I didn't put it on often enough. Effectiveness It works really well. Ease of Application It's easy to put on and it doesn't leave your hands greasy or oily after you put it on. It rubs in easily, so it doesn't leave a lot of white streaks behind.

Finally, searching for a sports sunscreen on my face is finally over. I get that it's pricey but it works great. I originally was introduced to this product from my tennis coach. He let all the girls use it because we would forget to bring ours. I stumbled upon it and fell in love. I was a little skeptical because of the SPF being 70+ but it worked great with my skin. Of course, after about 3 hours of playing tennis in the sun, I would see that it would feel weird on my face. But before that, it felt dry and sheer as if I hadn't put any. I recommend it to people who expose their faces out in the sun, especially sports that require outside time. Scent It barely has a scent. I would be a little bothered if it had a scent because it would be on my face. Too much of a scent can throw me off. So it's better without one. Absorption This absorbs so well. Of course, after playing in the sun for a couple hours, it would wear off. But I'd expect that after sweating bullets. Longevity It works so well. I thought it would wear off after an hour of playing in the sun. If you sweat a lot, you would see that it would wear off faster. Effectiveness Very effective. Protects me from the sun. Ease of Application Super easy. I apply just a dime size. Rub it in my fingers then on to my face.

I recently tried this sunscreen while camping and boating.  My sister in law sprayed me down with this when we first got on the boat, and I swam in the lake, went tubing on the water, and I never burned the entire day.  I did re-apply once about mid-day, and I didn't burn at all.  The smell is nice AND IT'S NOT STICKY!!!!  I really liked this product, so I went and bought a bottle!!  It's good stuff!!!!

I really liked this sunscreen because I felt it had a high enough level of sun protection but didn't feel pasty like some of the other sunscreens of the same level.  It had a pleasant scent, but wasn't perfumy.  My daughter is very fair skinned and we felt perfectly comfortable putting this suncreen on her with out the need to layer it.  Neither she or I broke out after using it and I felt comfortable putting it on my face.  All in all I would highly recommend this product to anyone, sunscreen is so important and you will only wear it if you like it.

Neutrogena is the only brand I trust with my skin, and I have tried every major brand out there and a number of less well known ones.  I have especially fair skin and suffer from dryness, and I suffer from a rare form of lupus that causes me to be especially sensitive to the sun.  My dermatologist not only recommends the brand but INSISTS on it, and handed me samples when I was in her office.  The SPF 70+ is necessary to keep my skin from reacting to the sunlight, and I like the Sport Face because it goes into my skin easily and doesn't feel greasy or have a nasty scent.  I'm a little diva-ish and I like to still feel kissable!  It helps with the dryness and when I sweat it doesn't feel like it is coming right out of my pores.  I sweat easily and other products can actually bead up and roll off as if they were laying on top of the skin, not in it.  This also does a great job of keeping areas like my nose and cheekbones from burning without having to reapply.

I bought this a while ago, and I like it well enough. Enough to give it four stars. But I've noticed that eventhough it says it's a sport sunscreen, it gets..funky when you sweat. Like it sorta...balls up and looks bad on your skin. It's good otherwise though, as I'm easily sunburned and I haven't even gotten a tan with it on. I reapply more often than it says I should but with the way it reacts with sweat I can't exactly see doing otherwise. I don't want a sunburn, or even really a tan at this point. I bought it only because I needed something higher than SPF 10, and at the store I was at my options were SPF 10 or this SPF 70. I know anything over 35 is sort of a ripoff because it's really not that much different to make any noticible change, especially since you have to reapply it every so often.   I WOULD reccomend this product, but I'd have to warn people about the strange habits it has when it reacts with sweat. Seeing as it's a sunblock, and odds are people are going to be using it outside, in the sun, doing things, and probably sweating, that's why it didn't earn a full 5 stars from me.
