Living in South Florida, having a reliable sunscreen is a must. My oldest son never had problems with the store brand SPF 30, until one day he did. All over his face was a rash. The pediatrician said it was a reaction to the sunblock and recommended Neutrogena Sensitive Skin SPF 30 as an alternative. The product is almost double the price of the non brand, but totally worth it as he had no more skin reactions. Several years later, we continue to use this product on his face and often times his whole body. Scent Doesn't have a big aroma. Smells clean and not overpowering with perfume. Absorption No issues with absorption. Longevity Never a problem lasting all day, even through swimming and sweaty baseball practices. Effectiveness Keeps out the sun and protects from burns while not irritating the skin and causing a rash. Ease of Application It's still a cream. This is not a spray, so you have to rub it on, but that's not that difficult.

I was taught by my easthetician to use sunscreen on my face on a daily basis. Now, I do have a more costly absolutely LOVELY pharmadermal quality sunscreen whose consistency is perfection. However, who wants to pay that price every single day? Neutragena's Sensitive Skin Sunblocks Lotion delivers SPF 30 and I can use it every day. My only caveat is that the consistency is just a touch "oily." It drys leaving just a bit of a residue on my face. Well in the summertime, I really don't mind that because i really do want the daily skin proctection for my face that it delivers. It's just, you'll want to know that for how much you apply to your face, allowing it to dry, and then managing how you apply your daily makeup. Scent Scentless. No perfumy problems. Absorption Note my caveat. It is meant to be a block on your skin and NOT be absorbed. Well when it dries it does just leave a wee bit of a residue that you'll want to test and see how your make up responds to being applied on top of that. Effectiveness My skin has been superbly well protected from harsh sunlight by this lotion based sunscreen.

I have been trying to change my ways in regards to spending alot of time in the sun. Whether outdoor shopping, or just spending time in the sun, I have gotten to the point where I have come to understand that applying sunlotion before you head out even on a not so sunny day is essential. It is essential in that you need that protection against the suns evil and harming rays as much as they are also good in making you feel happy with the nice sun and daylight it provides daily. Well I have just gotten into the idea of using sunblock and this is one of many I have tried, mostly because some are too smelly or too thick, i have not found the right one. And sadly this falls under the bad ones. I do like that it does not have a strong stinky smell, but I feel I cannot use it on my face, or body actually because i feel that it is too thick. Which i guess means it provides good coverage? but it leaves a strong color behind! a white color that is hard to blend on my skin. I do not like for that reason.

I bought this for my 4 year old son who has sensitive skin. Within minutes his neck turned bright red and he started to cry and complain that his neck hurt. It looked like a bumpy sunburn, but he hadn't been out in the sun yet! Needless to say, this has gone in the trash.

I don't normally react badly to sunscreen but decided to try out this particular sunscreen for my trip to mexico.  I ended up getting a rash all over my arms and legs.  I thought it was the mosquito spray I had been using, it couldn't have been the sunscreen?  Well I just used it again yesterday and I am getting the same reaction as I did in Mexico.  I am sure this works well for everyone else but for some reason my body is reacting to it quite differently. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME???? If anyone can tell me what in this sensitive skin sunscreen I am reacting to I would love to know.

**Neutrogena Sensitive Skin sun block lotion is a great product for people with sensitive skin.  I bought this for my husband who cannot use traditional sunscreens on his face because they cause him to break out.  He just about every day during the summer when he was working at a day camp for kids.  I have used this product on my face as well.  Even though I usually do not have problems using other sunscreen products, I prefer to use this one on my face.  This sunscreen is not as drying as other sunscreens Neutrogena Sensitive Skin sun block does not clog pores or cause breakouts.  With the SPF 30, it provides adequate protection from the sun for people with fair skin tones like myself who burn easily.  Some people may prefer a higher SPF, but 30 works fine as long as it is reapplied every hour to two hours.  The product has a pleasant smell.  I do not see any downsides to buying this product.  The price is comparable to other name brand sunscreen products.   **

As a mom with a child who has eczema, finding products that are safe to use on him is very difficult.  My sister also has a child with eczema and she recommended using Neutrogena Sensitive Skin sunblock lotion with an SPF 30.  All other sun blocks just made is skin break out and trying to control the itching after using the other products was near to impossible.  But with Neutrogena Sensitive Skin formula we did not have any break outs and his skin did not itch.  The only problem that we did have with this sun screen was that it would come off in the water, it is not water proof. So as soon as our son came out of the water, we would have to reapply more sun block.  The scent was pleasant, unlike some sensitive skin formulas that we have tried.  Neutrogena Sensitive Skin sunblock can be a little on the pricey side, but if you wait for a sale and use a coupon, it is not too expensive.  I would recommend this product to anyone who has sensitive skin.

**Neutrogena Sensitive Skin sunblock lotion SPF 30 is a pretty darn good product.  I have extremely sensitive skin and I am chemically senstive.  Add to that misery that I am also very allergy prone to over 100 things my allergist tested me for.  I actually did a bunch of online research and read various reviews from individuals, as well as, from other different review sites before I made my purchase.  I have always had a hard time finding a good sunscreen that I could tolerate (for both the consistantcy and the smell) and after reading and researching so many diferent brands I decided to try **Neutrogena Sensitive Skin sunblock lotion SPF 30.  It contains both UVA and UVB protection and all of the sites I visited strongly reccomended that you should use a product that protects you from both types of rays and that they can both do damage to your skin.  Although it claims to be fragrance-free, it does have a slight fragrance.****

I bought this particuliar sunscreen because I have very sensitive skin, and am prone to breaking out from other products. For my skin, I have allergies, sensitive skin, and also dry skin. I need to avoid all irritants and fragrances. Neutrogena's sensitive skin is great for me because it does not contain a harsh chemical smell. There is a slight fragrance, but it does not bother me that much to not be able to use it. I've tried many other sunscreens, but others have too strong of a smell. Some sunscreens were too harsh on my sensitive skin, and made me break out in a rash. Neutrogena Sensitive Skin sunblock lotion is the only sunblock that I've found that my skin can tolerate. I've never broken out in a rash or anything from this lotion. It was nice to finally find a product that can handle my sensitive skin. I also love the fact that this sunblock has an SPF of 30 in stead of an SPF of 15 or so. I would recommend this product to anyone with sensitive skin!** **
