This doesn't do anything it claims to do. This may clean your face, which may clean your pores, but it's not a pore refiner. It didn't even work on some of the smaller pores that I can see on my face. It does help keep your face clean, which can help with acne problems, but that's all. It states that it's pore refining, visibly reducing pores. Well, I used it for over three weeks and it doesn't do any of this. I wouldn't recommend it, there are better products out there that do work, this doesn't Effectiveness I read where a reviewer said that if you're looking for miracle results you won't find them with this product. Well, the product states it refines pores, I look for a product to do what it states. If I wanted something to clean my face, I would buy something that's just for cleansing, but this states it does both! Ease of Application You use this just like you do every other cleanser. Apply this to face, massaging it in for about a minute than wash it off. However, it doesn't work, so it's a waste of time! Scent It has a nice scent.

I love this brand and bought this face wash in hopes of targeting my pores. I have oily skin and my pores are always clogged. They are also very noticeable. Therefore, I bought this cleanser to try and reduce the appearance of pores and clear them out. While the cleanser get my skin soft and smooth, it did not go much for my pores. I really could not tell any difference when using this product as far as my pores went. I finished the entire bottle but never saw results. Therefore, I quit using this cleanser. I did not have a bad experience. I just did not get the results I was looking for. Effectiveness This was not effective on my pores. It did not eliminate the size or clear them out at all. I was not happy with the effect on my pores. Ease of Application It is incredibly easy to apply. I used it in the shower and at the sink. Scent It smells like a normal face wash. It just has a clean scent to it. The scent is not noticeable and does not stand out. It does not smell bad either.

I used Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser and other products from this line for a long time. However, I can't find it in stores any longer, so I've had to start using something else. But I miss using this product. Effectiveness This is a great cleanser that made my skin feel soft and smooth. It's gritty, but not too much, so it doesn't feel like it's removing layer upon layer upon layer of skin, which is great. My skin is slightly oily, and this gave me great matte skin without drying or leaving too much oil. I used it daily, and my skin looked and felt great. Ease of Application I love products that come in tubes because they're so much easier to deal with. The lather of this product is really great, and a small amount works just fine. This cleanser has a fine grit, which is makes it perfect for every day. Scent I liked the scent of this product. It was maybe a little medicinal but not a strong medicinal scent. Most Neutrogena products have a nice light scent.

This is my every day cleanser these days. I think it does a very good job refining the pores and cleaning the skin without over drying. I like the size of the refining beads in it; they are big enough to give you a good scrub but little enough to be manageable. Effectiveness This does work. I notice that my skin looks better and firmer. It takes care of those little blackheads and prevents them from coming back. I'm very pleased with how this product works. Ease of Application Simple to use; just wet your face, give it a good scrub, wash it off. Scent It's not much of a scent to speak of, which is fine with me!

I was skeptical when I first bought Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser because I had tried several other "cleansers" that did not work very well on my face. Now I have been using Neutrogena Pore Refing Cleanser for almost two years and I love it! It helps to clear away blackheads and make them less noticeable, and out of a ten point scale I would give it a 9.5 for that! It helps clean your face leaving it feeling smooth and clean! It really does a great job, and my face has never looked better before! For the cost of Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser you get a fair value for your money and not to many cleansers can say that! My only concern with Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser is that my face sometimes gets a little dry in some areas, but applying a good face lotin easily takes care of that problem. If you have a lot of blackheads or large pores I strongly suggest try Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser!

After years of harsh cleansers, scrubs, exfoliating and the use of even tone creams, I looked in the mirror one day, just about to wash my face and was surprised by the sight of huge pores in my face. Being that, since I was a little girl, I have huge dreams of owning "professional sports player's wives skin" I immediately went to my nearest drugstore for a cure all potion. As I skimmed the over the more than 10 different facial cures, my eyes landed on the **Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser**. It was exactly what I needed so I picked it up and rushed home to try it. I washed my face with the, seemingly, magic potion and was in awe with the results. The **Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser **did not burn, scrape or sting as I used it and I noticed immediate results. My pores were smaller, less noticeable and for the first time in years, looked smooth and clear. I was impressed. Needless to say the results only got better with continued use. Though, I have my favorite face wash that I remain loyal to (you'll find out in my other reviews on facial cleansers), I do return to the **Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser **from time to time whenever my pores become enlarged and I need a quick fix. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has looked in the mirror and noticed their pores have gotten larger. However, because this product can be drying, I would recommend daily use, at first, until you get the desired results, then follow up with touch ups, as needed. This product is definitely a must in any girl's beauty line up and it will continue to stay in mine until money grows on trees and I can afford Dr. 90210 (L. A.'s! premier cosmetic surgeon) Until then, happy cleansing and pore shrinking! Effectiveness Great at cleaning your face and minimizing pores! I purchased Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser as I have had good luck with Neutrogena products.  This product "visibly reduces the appearance of pores and refines skin."   I have always had trouble with my complexion and am constantly looking for products to help in any way.  This one was a big let down.  I see no difference in my skin what so ever.  I have finished using the entire product & feel it was a waste of money.  It is creamy with small microbeads that I felt I could never wash off.  I used it to wash my foundation off when getting home from work & never felt that I got it all off or felt clean.  I always ended up using soap afterwards to wash my face again.  It lists Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Formula on the container which was a big draw for me but as you can see I am very dissappointed.  It in no way reduced the size of my pores or refined my skin.  I will stick with my tried & true product of Oil of Olay.

I'm not sure if I buy into it one hundred percent, but the front of the container says "visibly reduced the appearance of pores and refines skin." This is a smooth cleanser, in that it does not have the grit in it that so many face cleansers have. It does leave a bit of a burning feeling though, and I've noticed that if any of it gets into my eyes while I am cleaning my face or rinsing it off, my eye turns red and hurts for half an hour or longer. I'm guessing that this is because of the alpha and beta hydroxy formula that contains acids to reduce wrinkling. I guess it's not the best thing to try to reduce wrinkling on your eyeballs. It does leave my pores feeling very clean and even gives my skin a little bit of what could be called a healthy glow since it makes it slightly red. I would definitely not recommend using this stuff if you are planning to go to the beach, the pool, or anywhere else where you face will be getting lots of sun.

I like Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser, but I had to stop using it for a while because my dermatologist has me on a retinoid cream and it cannot be used in conjunction with alpha and beta-hydroxy acids.  When I did use this cleanser, I used it more like a facial mask.  I would put it on my face and rub it around (being very careful not to get it near my eyes--it really stings!) and then let it sit on there for a few minutes while I took the rest of my shower.  The little exfoliating beads in it are useless, but the chemical exfoliants make your skin feel extremely smooth after using it.  It made absolutely no difference on my pore size however.  My skin felt nice and soft and smooth though! The package size is very economical and easy to dispense.  You do not need to use a lot of product.  If you are looking for miracle results, you will not get it with this product, but if you like your face to feel clean and smooth in the mornings, this would be well worth your money to purchase.

I'm usually a big fan of Neutrogena products, but I was a bit disappointed in this particular product. I was looking for a good cleanser for my dry skin and large pores. I really HATE my large pores and am looking for any way to reduce them. I figured I'd give this product a try since it says "pore refining" and claims to visibly reduce pores and tone skin. After using this for a few months, I have to say I'm not very impressed. My skin is not any more toned than usual and my pores aren't "refined" at all. They're still as big as they've ever been. Granted, I realize you can't truly "shrink" pores with products (just close them up or tighten them), but I was hoping my pores would be reduced a little bit with this product. I also noticed that after I started using this product that I got more breakouts than usual. I'm not exactly sure what the cause was, but that's what happened in my case. I won't be using this product anymore because it just doesn't deliver. I'm still on the lookout for a great product that does wonders for reducing the size of pores, but I don't know if I'll ever find it (or if one exists). For now, I'm going to continue using St. Ives Apricot Scrub since that works best for me at the moment. So, all in all, I wouldn't really recommend this product.
