When I asked an esthetician what brand of less expensive makeup she recommended, she said Neutrogena. I've tried several different brands and always had difficulty finding the right color foundation to blend with my skin. When I tried Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Compact Powder foundation in Classic Ivory, I received several complements on how much better my skin coloring was and how good my makeup looked. The more costly brand I'd been using wasn't the right color for me. Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Compact Powder is easy to apply. The compact comes with a brush which is stored in the lower half of the case with the powder foundation in the top. A compact divider separates the brush from the foundation, so the powder doesn't get all over the brush. The compact snaps shut, so it is easy to carry in your purse, if you desire. The powder finish makes my blush easy to blend. It doesn't seem to settle in fine lines, It applies easily over concealer for a finished look. It's also very economical and Neutrogena often has coupons in the Sunday paper inserts.

I have been using this pressed powder for many many years and I am a huge fan of it. I have very fair skin with pink undertones and I used to have a terrible time finding affordable powders that were not too yellow or dark. Drugstore makeup tends to be way too dark even in the lightest shades. This neutrogena makeup is light, covers well, and lasts all day. The lightest shade is perfect for my skin tone. I do not have any real problem areas on my face and prefer a simple makeup routine (no liquid foundation) and this product works great. I also have combination skin and find that using only the powder helps to keep my skin from getting too oily throughout the day. I give this 9 instead of 10 because the neutrogena powders no longer have spf. I used to love having the extra sun protection from my makeup and also in case I use my no spf moisturizer on accident. Unfortunately they removed the spf from all their powders.

I got this compact when I was out on the search for the perfect shade of power foundation for me and on a budget. A lot of the foundations I tried were too yellow or to dark (One even had a grey undertone to it). Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Compact Power Foundation in Classic Ivory was the right fit for me. It has a pink undertone to it that does not make me look pink. It blends in to the skin perfectly. It is a very light powder and does not make me feel like I am wearing any makeup at all. The powder is finely pressed in to the compact and all you need to do is swirl your brush in a few times until it is coated enough to apply it onto your face. I was also EXTREMELY pleased with how nicely this stuff played with my face. I am prone to break outs, and this stuff did not clog my pores or cause me to get any unsightly zits. I would recommended this to any one that is searching for there perfect shade (Or is just looking for a foundation that does not make them yellow).

This is a pretty decent foundation, if you can get the color to match just right. I got it in the shade I normally would, and it is a little lighter than I would like. It feels nice and smooth on your skin, but it doesn't have the light, not noticable coverage you would expect from a mineral foundation. It goes on a little thinner than regular foundations, so it isn't as noticable that you're wearing it, but it isn't as light as they say. It isn't a bad foundation. It is a good choice if you are looking for a foundation that is lighter than most for cheaper than the other mineral ones. It is a powder, but compact. It might be better if it was a loose powder. Maybe it would go on a little different that way. The compact is convenient though. It has a mirror in the bottom where is holds the applicater. It slides to the side to open that and the powder opens on the top, so you don't have to worry about it all falling out when you go to open it. And the mirror is in a better place since you don't have to worry getting the powder all over it. It is small so it is easy to carry in your purse or even throw in your pocket.

I've been searching for this compact because I remember always using it as an alternative if I was on a budget and couldn't afford my other foundation. This Neutrogena mineral sheers compact powder foundation works so well with my skin. I feel like it goes on light and it makes my face feel soft but it gives me that full coverage that I want and need. It makes my face look and feel flawless. Its non comedogenic so it doesn't clog pores it actually enhances my skin making it a lot softer. I love how inexpensive this compact is and what a wonderful job it does making my face look natural and shine free. My face never looks oily though out my day. It continues to look soft and matte. I love always caring this in my purse just in case. It comes in handy especially when I want to powder my nose it absorbs all the oil. I would recommend this for anybody who like having natural clean makeup on. It goes on giving me sheer coverage without my feeling like I have heavy make up on.

So I am not a big makeup person. I am lucky if I get foundation on, let alone the blush, mascara, eyeliner, etc. I like makeup that is easy to put on and hard to mess up. That is why I love the powder foundation from Neutrogena. It is so simple. The best part is that it is one simple step, not foundation and powder separately. It does not seem to have quite the coverage power of a separation foundation-powder regime, but it does not have a caked on feel or look to it, which I love. It feels nice and looks fresh. It is a pricier product, and I can go through a case pretty quickly, but I still feel like it is a good value for the money since I am only buying one product instead of two. The issue I have with it is that it is hard to get the last bit of it out so I feel like I am wasting some. It tends to break up and be hard to sponge out once you get down to the bottom of the case. Other than that, I highly recommended this product.

I love that this makeup does not cake up on my skin, and it has a nice matte finish to it. It's beautiful and really goes well with my skin. I don't know that it would look very good on people who have a lot of acne or blemishes, but if you have rather clear skin, this is a very good product and I recommend it to you.

I did like the sheer, easy feel of this makeup; it didn't clog my pores or lay too heavy on my skin, since at times you can end up with a 'dusty' look when using powder. It also didn't fill into my fine lines and make them worse, it did a good job of covering with a sheer look that absorbed oil so that my skin didn't end up looking shiny over the course of the day. It had a nice, silky feel without any grit but it didn't go very far in covering my undereye dark circles as much as I wanted. The other downside being that it was almost too sheer and it doesn't stay very long and it's too heavy if you reapply it again so I didn't have much luck with keeping it on, basically had to put it on in the morning and try not to sweat or wipe too much at my face over the course of the day. The time I did try a second application halfway through the day it did clog my pores some, but still not as much as other foundations have.

I really love this product. This has been a little lifesaver for me when I went through the asian BB cream stage. All the Asian bb creams that I have tried made me look dead: I mean gray, zombie-like color. One day when I wore the BB creams alone and looked at myself at the mirror, I was so shocked at how dead I looked at normal daylight. I got desperate and looked through my stash of unused makeup and found the neutrogena compact sheer powder. I put it on top of the BB cream my skin looked like it had some life. Well, from that point on, I quit Asian BB creams. I love how neutrogena mineral sheers has at least 2 beige tones to match yellow toned gals, unlike so many other American drugstore brands. (I will also go off topic by saying, I even tried the covergirl naturelux in at least 3 shades, and making me just look off --i think it was the strong pink undertones). I am mixed race with mainly SE Asian, some Indian, Spanish and chinese blood mixed, so finding a right foundation is very challenging. Quality-wise. Neutrogena, to me, is a upper-priced drugstore brand. The price is a tad high compared to Revlon, etc but expect it to function almost high end. The mineral sheer compact powder has fair longevity. It doesnt last all day as a high end brand would and needs several retouches during the day esp in summer months in FL. Also one should be careful in applying this as one can look too cakey in it if over-done in application (and this is coming from a combo-skin gal). Other than my minor gripes of this product, Neutrogena mineral sheers is my go-to drugstore powder foundation. Please neutrogena, dont stop making this. thank you. ;)

**I love Neutrogena Mineral Sheer Powder Foundation Compact**I Best foundation I have used in a LONG time. I love how quick and easy Neutrogena's powder foundation is to apply on my face unlike other brands I have used in the past. And the coverage on your skin is great. During the day and evening touch ups are even easier too. What more would you ask for in a foundation? As for colors of the foundation, matching my skin tone was easy too. The vast array of colors, that are only slightly apart in shades help you get the perfect match for your skin color! There is a color for everyone's skin tones so finding your match is a breeze! I love this foundation. It also looks really natural and not fake looking like other brands sometimes make you look. The cost of this foundation is a little bit more pricier than others, but you definitively get your money's worth. So this is a great buy for everyone.
