Our reviewers all agree that Neutrogena Healthy Volume Mascara leaves their lashes soft, healthy, and longer. The debate is whether the claim of building lash volume by 400%" can possibly hold true. Most reviewers are very satisfied with the amount of volume they get from Neutrogena Healthy Volume Mascara and have abandoned their high end mascaras for this one. A few reviewers just didn't see the volume and certainly not 400% more! All agree that their lashes remained soft and they could layer coats even hours in between with no flaking. In all, reviewers either love Neutrogena Healthy Volume Mascara or they like it but aren't all that satisfied with the volume it produces. For a low drugstore cost, this may be one to try. Love the VOLUME

This mascara adds volume without clumping. It lifts and lengthens my lashes to open my eyes. It stays soft without flaking or running. And it has an interesting scent.

Since it stays soft, you can layer it even after it has completely dried, so if you want to add an extra coat after work before going...

I was given a free mascara of Neutrogena's Healthy Volume Mascara in Black Onyx and needless to say I'm impressed. This reminds me of Clinique's full potential mascara = the ability to create full voluminous, clump-free, big, fat eyelashes. I applied it in two coats and my eyes were enormous. I was a great big fan of Dior's Diorshow mascara, but the price and the fact that it dried so fast, made me look for alternatives. This is a drugstore brand, with department store attributes, but still at the drugstore brand price. Overall pretty amazing.
