This works really good on my skin (dry skin) even though my skin is dry I just moisturize after every use and it works fine. It is a toner that helps to prevent further out breaks and it does what it says.

I have actually tried this and loved it, i have very oily skin and this worked wonders! Cleans my pores out good! It does leave my face a bit sticky after using it but it is still a good product. This product works great !! My face feels so clean and hydrated the smell is awesome, I highly recommend this,Helped minimize the clogging of my nose pores really well. Wish it did more to shrink the size of my pores. Just use it after cleansing every morning and night and make sure to moisturizer and your skin should improve! It has salicylic acid so if that agrees with your skin you should give it a shot! This product is absolutely amazing! It is a lot of product meaning it lasts soooo long! I purchased it and I think it's going to expire before I even use it all! It's is absolutely worth the price!

Unfortunately, Neutrogena Rapid Clear Oil Control Foaming Cleanser failed to live up to my expectations. The price is a bit higher than comparable brands, and the product is inferior to those brands like Clearasil and Clean and Clear. For a product designed to control oil, I found the texture to be very unexpectedly greasy and thick, more like a heavy lotion or cream than a cleanser. Considering that it is described in its very name as a foaming cleanser, I was very surprised to discover that it barely lathered up at all. It felt like applying lotion and then rinsing it off, and the rinsing off portion was quite difficult. I had to splash my face for ages just to get the greasy residue off my face. However, once I dried off my face, I found my skin to be excessively dry. That is a rarity for my oily skin, so although Neutrogena's Rapid Clear Oil Control Foaming Cleanser does indeed help keep oil under control, it results in very dry skin, something basically just as unpleasant to deal with as oily skin. It contains none of the typical acne-fighting ingredients that similar products contain, such as salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide, so I don't really understand why this product is designed for acne-prone skin. It did not help my breakouts at all. I was very underwhelmed by this cleanser and expected more given the brand and price.

Boy does this astringent really dry out the skin! I was breaking out really bad from stress and I love most products from Neutrogena so I bought this to add to my routine. I used it at night the first time and my skin was so dry when I woke up. When I first applied it, it made my skin feel all tingly which made me think it was working. I did not rinse off and maybe I should have, that might have helped the dryness I experienced or it might just be a really strong astringent. My skin is not overly oily, this astringent would probably work better on skin types like that. Effectiveness This really dried my skin out. I could not continue to use long enough to know how effective it would be at helping clear up acne or oily skin. Ease of Application I put a small amount on a cotton ball and gently rubbed all over my face. You don't have to rinse off so as long as you have a cotton ball or even some toilet paper application is very easy.

This Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil Controlling Astringent is a pretty good astringent. It does remove excess oil from my face each time I use it. I won't say it is great at controlling the oil on my face, but it does add benefit after cleaning my face. This astringent is a bit pricier than other astringents. However, I would still recommend it to others. Effectiveness Overall, this is a pretty effective astringent in terms of cleaning and removing excess oil. I don't, however, think it helps control any oil on my face throughout the day. I've got very oily skin so I am constantly looking for something to help me control the oil. Ease of Application The Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil Controlling Astringent is pretty easy to apply. I prefer to use a cotton ball to apply my astringent and it helps to keep it mess free. Scent Very fragrant smelling astringent. It has a medicated fragrance and leaves your skin smelling clean when you apply it after a fresh face wash.

This product is great for oil control and reducing blemishes. Also, blemishes clear away faster while using this product. I use it in the mornings and at night. There are days that it dries out my skin a little bit but I don't mind because my skin is really oily, especially my nose. I also, use the astringent, on my chest, shoulders and upper back so that my skin feels fresh and clean. Effectiveness This product is effective but you have to use it frequently to help your skin clear up and avoid other blemishes. I use it as part of a skin regimen, usually after washing my face or showering. I find it is best to use once in the morning and once at night. Ease of Application It is very easy to apply this product. You can pour a bit on a cotton ball or pad and thenrun on your skin. Convenience The clear pore astringent is convenient to use because it can be incorporated into your current skin care routine. After you wash your face you can use it and a skin toner and can also be used to remove makeup and other dirt. Side Effects While this product feels good on the skin, it can cause some dryness if used too frequently. It can also sting a little bit when first applied, but for the most part, i haven't noticed any serious side effects. Immediacy Results can best be seen when using this product for everyday use. I would recommend this for prevention as well as clearing.

After switching from Proactiv to Neutrogena, this product was one that made me stay with Neutrogena. I have mild acne and wanted a toner that would not clog my pores or sting when I applied it. This does just the job. The smell is a little strong, but it's worth the effects. A couple weeks after I started using it, my acne began to go away. Now I have very few breakouts, and my skin feels and looks healthier. Effectiveness Since I have used this toner, my pores look better and I can tell I am clearing off any leftover residue from washing my face, because the cotton swab shows what you clear off. Ease of Application This toner is very easy to use, and it doesn't sting after you apply it. Convenience This toner is extremely easy to use, all you need is a cotton swab or ball to apply it. Side Effects I have not noticed any bad side effects, and I have been using this product for six months now. Immediacy I noticed my pores looking better within a couple weeks, which is an average amount of time for me when it comes to toners.

Since using the Neutrogena Clear Pore Astringent I have been satisfied with my results so far. I always had large pores around my nose area that were prone to blackheads. After I wash my face I like to take some of the toner, and saturate my cotton pad just enough. Then I swipe it all over my face focusing on my problem areas like my large pores. Be careful not to get to close to your eyes or in your mouth. I notice the change in my skin immediately it really does shrink my pores, but my skin has that mildly tight feeling also. It is a fairly gentle toner it did not over dry my skin, but I still like to put moisturizer on after I used the toner. This product contains alpha-hydroxy acid which is good for your skin, but it can make you more sensitive to the sun which is the only side effect. I always make sure to wear sunscreen during the day when I use this toner at night. The product is effective when I use it once daily if I skip a day my pores get enlarged again. I recommend this toner to anyone who has large pores.

I really like the refreshing feeling this toner has on your clean skin. It is invigorating and makes your skin feel even cleaner. Plus, you can actually see remnants of oil and or makeup on the cotton ball after you use it. I have combination skin and use this for when it is oily or breaking out. It dries it right up without irritating it like most astringents can. Then you have a clean face, a clean palette to put serum and moisturizer on, or makeup, whatever your routine, this is a major helper to make your look last ,even if you don't wear makeup. If your skin is borderline dry, just use it as needed on the spots where you need it the most. It will make a difference. It actually shows you if your facial cleansers are actually doing their jobs or not. When you see all of the icky remains on the cotton ball you will be convinced that this is a good product. I totally recommend it to anyone with combination skin
