Neurontin is often prescribed for pain, neuropathy, seizures, and migraines. I have taken it for years in various dosages for a variety of diagnoses. I started taking it for migraines, then the dose was increased for generalized pain from arthritis. Then most recently it was increased because I could no longer take my antidepressant due to an allergic reaction. The doctor thought it was better to take more of a known medicine.
It can be tough to get in three separate doses and to try and get them 8 hours apart depending on my schedule. It also makes me sleepy and kicks in about 45 minutes after taking it. Some mornings I get up, eat breakfast, take my medicine, and then about an hour later I want to get back into bed. It's less severe over time but it still affects me.
I've been saving a lot of money once a generic version because available. You can get it at most of the major stores or drugstores for $4 for a months' supply.
