Neurontin In Generic form it is Gabapentin —

I tried this medication to help with my fibromyalgia....instead of taking my normal Celebrex...unfortunately for me, it caused me such a severe migraine that my doctor had to take me off of it and put me on Fioricet for the migraines...now I wish I had never tried this medication.

Thank you. It's a shame that when a medicine does work the insurance won't cover the cost. But if it doesn't work they cover it. Are they just not wanting us to get well?? I guess that's how they make their money...keeping us sick.

yeah mine changed a lot for 2008, they dropped a lot of meds from their plan. I hope you find something that will work and that is covered. good luck! Ron

Thanks for letting me know...I have taken Celebrex with no side effects for over 10 years...but my doctor wanted me to try Neurontin since my insurance covered the cost...unfortunately, the migraine was so severe I could not crawl out of bed or open my eyes. So, I quit taking it, and now trying to find a different medication. Sure wish my insurance covered Celebrex. Oh well...only time will tell.

Welcome to Viewpoints! Many medications cause headaches in some people in fact every one I take for Fibromylagia has headaches as a possible side effect. Ironicly Gabapentin is used to treat migraines...go figure! Celebrex gave me migraines, each person is different. Ron
