I have had more problems with this router than it's worth! The famous saying, "you get what you pay for," definitely applies to this product. The first time I tried to connect it, I had absolutely no success. I had a laptop and a PC that I was trying to connect. I tried to call the customer service phone number, but I couldn't understand any of the people. They wanted my phone number, which I did not feel comfortable giving, but did anyway. They were supposed to call me back, and they did -- at 10:00pm the next night! I was furious that they called me that late because that was very poor business...

I bought the Linksys wireless router about nine months ago. I bought it because I got a new laptop and needed to have wireless for it at my house. Our internet connection is downstairs in the basement but i still get a good connection to my laptop upstairs. I can even take my laptop outside on the porch or in the back yard and still have good connection. I will always recommend this router to my friends.

I bought a belkin wireless router for my sons computer so i did not have t pay the cable company extra money to hook up another computer it works great I also have a computer up staires in the house and found it also works there just plug the usb router in and your online all you have to do is run the software and plug the router in your computer> I had to call belkin once to set the computer and the belkin on my sons computer I was able to to the computer upstaires myself. When we fist started talking about getting a wireless router, I knew nothing at all about them. Of all the places to learn about electronics, I went to ebay to check out "wireless routers". I got at least five thousand different entries for the wireless router. I plowed my way through these entries. I learned if you got a router you had to buy the same brand of router cards (or whatever they call those things you plug into your computer to pick up the signal of the router). We have and use on a daily basis this netgear router and for the most part love it! We have had no problems with it except that we burnt one up after a couple of years because we left it sit on the floor and it got too hot. It is easy to install and comes with good directions that are clear and easy to understand. It can sit on it's belly or stand upright with the feet that come with it. They have good technical support should you run into problems. Easy to hook up and light weight. The routers out of the box setup is easy. I like the advanced features I can enable most of them dont work anyone but there still useful. The router does a horrible job of putting requests in order or importance vis QOS. The router vastly slows down after a large number of DHCP clients join the network. The wireless N is nice to have but theres not so much of a difference as wireless G. The router sometimes has broadcasting issues when you change a setting you have to restore the entire router which is definitly a pain. I have noticed the router has occasional Power failures causing the network...

I am really satisfied with this concept and as I do not need any extra router for it that makes it the best. Just set it up and boom...u r done forerver. superb signal strength. I love it. Only thing that is annoting is that it is way too expensive. I bought it for a 100$, it would have been better if it is 45 $ or so.
