Changed Video Rentals for the better, forever. . .

When Netflix first started in 1998, the idea of renting videos by mail seemed unnatural. Besides, how could a company make it cheap enough for consumers to use AND possibly make a profit. — Back in 1998, Blockbuster was crushing the small ma and pa video rental stores by moving into neighborhoods offering 1 dollar video rental coupons for months at a time.. or until the smaller video stores went out of business. In all honesty, Netflix is one of the greatest commercial creations anyone has come up with in years. The idea of getting up, going to Blockbuster, fighting through traffic, weather, and crowds, just to rent a movie that you then have to get back up, and fight through traffic again just to return it was not very appealing to me, or, apparently, many others. — Netflix takes that horror and removes it completely. I've been a member of Netflix for a few years now, and I must say, I don't know what I'd do without it! I used to hate going to the video store and stare at shelf after shelf of the same "blockbuster" movies, of which they had fifty copies each :( ..............then came Netflix, YAY! — I like picking out movies at home, at my convenience, with easy to find categories, etc., and Netflix is all that and more. Until Blockbuster allowed the in-store swap, Netflix was the best online movie deal. However, I just hate Blockbuster! That puts Netflix alone at the top of my dvd rental store. I love the flexibility of not having to return the movies immediately. And, if I don't send it out right away to take advantage of the low monthly rental, then I can simply watch the movie again and return it soon enough! Netflix is a great easy video rental system for busy folks like me. My life is a bit hectic, and while I have time to watch a movie from time to time, I don't always have time to go to the store, pick it out, watch it, and make sure it gets back on time. I have had Netflix service three different times, and have also tried Blockbuster's competing program. While Blockbuster offered the ability to get free rentals at their brick and mortar locations, they also sent you edited versions of certain titles. I love netflix! We just can't afford to go to the movies anymore. But we still want to see them. This Internet mail movie service is the way to go. I love the Netflix Internet site, it really helps me choose what movies I might like. You can also leave feedback on movies you watched so they can suggest other movies you may like.The selection is really incredible. I have always been amazed and the wide selection of both new and popular releases and older cult classics, foreign films, and old movies. I love old classics, independed films and obscure cult releases, and it's always fun to see what movie from my list that I will be receiving, especially since many of the movies aren't available at my local rental store. I was referred to Netflix by my adult son. Not only did they have a phenomenal selection, but the web site is so easy to navigate. Review choices, put them on an ordered queue of preference, and then they come to you! Watch, drop right back in the mail and faster than you can think possible, the next one is there waiting for you! Different levels of financial programs determine how many you can rent in a month. I had considered subscribing to Netflix for a while but was worried about service and lost and broken disks so I kept putting it off. Finally after discussing the Dead Like Me TV series with a friend who also has Netflix I was pursuaded to take the plunge and I'm so glad I did. — I knew I'd never find Dead Like Me at my local video store and that I'd never be able to watch all 16 episodes in 3 days so I subscribed to Netflix 2 years ago and never looked back. Netflix has an abundance of movies. There's definitely something for everyone. I've used Netflix for years and have tried other (less expensive) sites only to come right back. I've been a solid member for the last 3 years. — The time in which a movie is shipped to me and the time after I ship it back is really quick! I love Netflix! My husband and I have had an account since Dec. '06 and have never had a single complaint. We both add movies to the queue, but we try to mix it up so one of us is not stuck watching a movie they don't want to see several discs in a row.
