Most HelpfulI love the Netflix service. It saves me the time and hassle of having to go to the video store, and while having to wait for the mail. I can also track what my friends are watching and what they think of movies, and the queue is great for keeping track of all the movies and TV series I want to see...

Netflix is a Movie rental service that comes to your home by mail. The service has been very disappointing. In the short 3 months we have had the service, we have received one scratched DVD and one cracked one. They were both unable to be watched. I also find the selection to be poor and slow in...
review »When Netflix first started in 1998, the idea of renting videos by mail seemed unnatural. Besides, how could a company make it cheap enough for consumers to use AND possibly make a profit.
Back in 1998, Blockbuster was crushing the small ma and pa video rental stores by moving into neighborhoods offering 1 dollar video rental coupons for months at a time.. or until the smaller video stores went out of business. Then they would raise their prices, and charge late fees. Blockbuster refused to carry both unrated AND NC 17 films. Some of these un-rated films included classic films as well...
review »In all honesty, Netflix is one of the greatest commercial creations anyone has come up with in years. The idea of getting up, going to Blockbuster, fighting through traffic, weather, and crowds, just to rent a movie that you then have to get back up, and fight through traffic again just to return it was not very appealing to me, or, apparently, many others.
Netflix takes that horror and removes it completely. For a flat monthly fee, Netflix mails you DVD movies, and includes a prepaid envelope for you to mail them back. The fees are extremely reasonable (ranging from $5-$35), all depending...
review »I've been a member of Netflix for a few years now, and I must say, I don't know what I'd do without it! I used to hate going to the video store and stare at shelf after shelf of the same "blockbuster" movies, of which they had fifty copies each :( ..............then came Netflix, YAY!
I like picking out movies at home, at my convenience, with easy to find categories, etc., and Netflix is all that and more. I like that their recommendations are often movies I've never heard of, and would otherwise overlook, but end up being movies I love. :)
I like that it is very easy to upgrade or downgrade...
review »Until Blockbuster allowed the in-store swap, Netflix was the best online movie deal. However, I just hate Blockbuster! That puts Netflix alone at the top of my dvd rental store. I love the flexibility of not having to return the movies immediately. And, if I don't send it out right away to take advantage of the low monthly rental, then I can simply watch the movie again and return it soon enough! I really enjoy the $0 risk of being late...since it's never really late.
The selection far surpasses Blockbuster, and the reviewing system on line is superior to its nearest competitor! ...
review »For years, people would tell me I need to join Netflix. I shrugged it off, and kept making the trips back and forth to the video store. Then, I was just 6 hours late in returning a video and they charged me a 5 day late fee! That was the LAST STRAW. I went home and joined Netflix that very same day. It was one of the best financial decisions I've made in a long time!
Netflix works like this. You sign up and have to get them your bank information so they can draw out your monthly payment. What you pay depends on how many movies you want to receive at a time. I pay $ 8.99 to receive one movie at...
review »We decided to sign up with Netflix shortly after haveing statelite put in. As some of you may know, pay per view, and Video on demand, can add up quiet fast.
I really like the Netflix site, they give you the chance to rate movies you have seen, by doing so they can provide you with lists of movies that you will most likely enjoy. The more I use the rateing system, I understand how nicely this works out for me. Each time their best guess has been right on.
I currently use the least expensive package, One movie at time. They do have three tiers to choose from. The movies have arrived...
review »Like many movie buffs whose home is equipped with a gadget to play DVD's on, I have long ago succombed to the siren song of Netflix! For a little more than $10 a month, I can rent two films at a time (very handy if viewing a two-part film) and there are no late fees, no matter how long I hang on to my rentals. The DVD's have nearly always been in good condition, with one minor exception where a scratch caused a bit of a problem. A couple have somehow been lost in the mail on their way to me but I was not billed for the replacement of these films and another one was sent to me immediately...
review »Netflix is a great easy video rental system for busy folks like me. My life is a bit hectic, and while I have time to watch a movie from time to time, I don't always have time to go to the store, pick it out, watch it, and make sure it gets back on time. With Netflix, I can just add movies to my list on their website whenever I have a minute (like at work even! How convenient!) or when it comes to mind something I want to see, and they will be shipped right to my front door, when I get done watching them, I can just toss them back in the envelope, and then they will ship the next ones from...
review »I signed up for Netflix about 3 months ago, and I LOVE it!! They have a great selection of movies and with the exception of a couple fitness dvd's, I have been able to find every single movie I ever wanted to see. They offer several rental-plans ranging from $4/month on up, which is great especially in light of our current economic situation. When you first sign up, you are prompted to make a movie list and Netflix sends you the movies on your list in the order they are listed. When the movies arrive, they are in envelopes which also double as the envelope you send the dvd back in-no postage necessary....
review »Netflix has been a saving grace for my husband and I. When we first met, my husband could not manage to get a movie back on time. The fees we were paying were far more than I am currently paying on a monthly basis. I am able to watch all the movies that I want and never pay more. I almost always get my movies in a day and make sure to time my returns, so I can generally get the new releases that I want as well.
I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys watching 3 or more movies a month. It pays for itself immediately and the watch instantly feature is great when you have returned...
review »My husband and I signed up for the WalMart video service several years ago and were very happy with it. When that venture folded, we bit the bullet and signed up for the Netflix service that sends 2 movies at a time to your house for about $20 per month.
Netflix is great because you can keep the movies for as long as you like without worrying about late fees. That being said, the longer you keep them, the fewer movies you will receive during the course of the month. It is in your best interest to watch and return them as soon as possible so you can receive new ones. You just pop the disc...
review »We signed up for Netflix over a year ago and havent regretted it since. You select movies on the website and put them in "your queue". You rate them as high as you want (1 is the next movie that will be sent) and you can add as many as you wish to the queue. The site will give you recommendations based on other movies you have selected or you can browse the millions of movies they have.
I have never had any issues with Netflix...except for one small issue that my friend is having that I heard of before. There was a rumor that Netflix treats its newer members better than their older members...meaning...
