Netflix is convenient but be prepared to wait for new releases.

receiving movies in the mail, easy to learn system, great deal for frequent renters, great selection

Cons

have to be pro-active for best results, new releases can be tough to get, no spur-of-the-moment movie picks, renting series of discs sometimes tricky

Netflix is still better than renting from a store but, Blockbuster has leveraged their existing stores into a better deal on-line.

If you want the best on-line option it would be Netflix.

If you want the best overall package it would be Blockbuster's on-line. They have combined free monthly movie/game coupons, good customer service and spur of the moment opportunity to get a new movie the same day.

Taking a movie to the Blockbuster store after you just finished watching it and choosing a new one during that trip is simply the leveraged advantage of having stores.

They will mail the movie back for you and you get to watch something new while your next movie is in the process of being shipped to your home. Great for impatient kids and weekends...
