I signed up for Netflix about 3 months ago, and I LOVE it!! They have a great selection of movies and with the exception of a couple fitness dvd's, I have been able to find every single movie I ever wanted to see. They offer several rental-plans ranging from $4/month on up, which is great especially in light of our current economic situation. When you first sign up, you are prompted to make a movie list and Netflix sends you the movies on your list in the order they are listed. When the movies arrive, they are in envelopes which also double as the envelope you send the dvd back in-no postage necessary. They also give you a two week free trial-period, so if you decide it isn't for you, you can cancel with nothing to lose.
As far as quality goes, I have yet to recieve any dvd with major scratches or other problems which effected my ability to view the movie. Additionally, if I WERE to recieve such a defective dvd, there is a place on your Netflix home page to report any problems. They seem to be very fair and good at dealing with any "snags"--I had a dvd on my list that had a wait time and they not only sent me the next dvd on my list but also the original movie once it was available (eventhough I already had my dvd limit out).
This method of entertainment is perfect for the busy person who doesn't have time to drive down to the movie rental store, would rather wait to see a movie when it comes out on dvd, or who simply doesn't want to pay $6 to rent ONE movie! There is no time limit in which the dvd must be returned either, so you can watch it as your own leisure.
