Strong Connection

4

I admit that it took me a little while to figure out how to set them up completely, let alone figure out on how to set the security password. But once I got that solved, the rest got good and I had no trouble with any wireless connection. And if I do have connection issue still, it's not the Netgear's fault.

Satisfactory results, even when in a budget.

This router can easily handle four, up to six, mobile devices at the same time. Performance Even though this type of router is not the fastest that there is out in the market, it definitely delivers if it is used in an apartment or small house. Durability Even thought this product is small, it is exceptionally durable. As long as it is kept in a safe place, this router will last for quite some time. Setup & Ease of Use I was surprised to find out how easy it was to set this router up. Seeing as it was my first time ever setting up a router for wi-fi use, I recommend this product to anyone who is not the biggest tech person, but has common sense. Service & Support I have never really had to use the service and support since I haven't had too many troubles with my product.

Works fine!!

I have a DSL connection and the previous router broke up when there was a power outage in winter!! So I chose netgear as a replacement and so far it is working fine!! It took me some time to setup but not very hard. I tried to register the product when I setup but it did not allow me and my computer showed some error messages. So I skipped registering and setup and it was a breeze. I have a wireless n laptop and it works fine with the netgear. Though it is not superfast I feel the speed is better than my previous router. The signal strengh is strong throughout my house. I have not tested it in a wireless g computer but it is supposed to work good with wireless g also. The only con I experience is that it looses connection once in a while and I will have to power down and power up to make it work. I am not sure if this problem is only for me or other alsot!! Though there are other great routers which are very fast and durable you have to pay double the price for that. So I stayed with netgear and I am happy so far.

So easy to use and set up.

I had a Netgear wireless router for about ten years, and when it finally died, my husband and I decided it was time to buy a new one.  We didn't want to spend a lot of money, but we knew that we needed a router that would have good reach and that was wireless.  I knew that Netgear was a reliable company, so we opted to go with this router.  It is an excellent product.  We have been nothing but pleased with our purchase.  We use it to network our Wii, our computer, our iPod touch, and our BluRay player.  It always reaches.  It was also very easy to set up.  I had no problems putting a password on it.  I also really like the push-to-connect feature that it is equipped with.  We bought the USB wireless cards that are compatible with this router, and they were super easy to install on our laptop computers.  I think that this is an excellent product for the money that we invested in it, and I recommend it.

A gas saver ????

4

This router is a gas saver , if you live in a rural area and own a Nook. We bought our router after we bought a Nook and found no free WiFi with out driving 20 miles. This unit has paid for it's self in gas savings many times over. I also run 2 printers off of it. Easy set up . no drop outs. Should buy one model better for more range. For the price, this unit does the job.

Very good for the price. Gets the job done

I bought the router recently, it's fast enough to game, browse, etc. All the features are easy and understandable. The range is decent and is pretty good. The legs that came with it are not that strong and broke on me. When setting up the router, the menu is not very user friendly and tends to be slow and non-responsive. I had a hard time upgrading the firmware and changing the passwords and such. It also lacks some user settings that other routers have. The parental controls are useless and very hard to manage and use. It also sometimes breaks connection and "reboots" itself. But only sometimes. This router is decent for mid sized households looking for a good, reliable router for and upgrade from their previous one. The connection is nice, but the menu and options are very poorly done and you can't understand or do anything even with a firmware update. So it's an hit and miss for this router.

adequate for normal net surfing needs

4

I recently bought and installed this hardware and I am pleased with it so far. It was reasonably priced and super easy to install (even for a non-techie). I was a little concerned that the speed would be noticably slower than I was prevously used to, but it has proven to be perfectly acceptable for moderate web surfing. I am not a gamer, but I do watch streaming video, chat and check email and non of tasks seem to have any noticable lag nor have I had any problems with signal loss. A techie friend told me that netgear makes reliable hardware and I believe he is right. The model I just purchased seems to be similar if not identical to the one I was renting from the cable company. I believe it was worth the investment to purchase this hardware outright and it will pay for itself in less than a year compaired to the monthly rental fee charged by my cable company. I would not hesitate to recommend this item to others and I am very happy with my purchase.

the netgear n150 is the best router i have used

5

i have had a few netgear routers, and a few d link routers...the best router i have ever used is this one. The range on this is just amazing, we have a huge house, and even at the farthest point(pretty much from the computer desk to my room is the farthest point in the house) i still get a great signal. i can connect with my ps3 to the wireless and download my content incredibly fast because i get an almost full connection while using it.  it is aesthetically pleasing, i really like the sleek look, and it is incredibly easy to use and set up. a few other ones i had had problems with setting up the passwords, and actually just connecting to them. but every device i connect to this thing(and ones that others connect) work perfectly with it. we have many products that we use with this, including a few really old netbooks with the wireless cards that go in the cardbus, a few netbooks, and 4 or 5 full size laptops. my laptop has wireless n capability, and i have never had a better connection to a router.

It was so easy to installed, however I purchased a Netgear Wireless N 150 router , around July, and last month November, it just stop working, it dissapointed me, plus inconvenient my family members I had to called the customers service for help, I was connected to someone in India, who tried to help me  effortlessly ... she was unable to.... so to me Netgear is just a temporary solution to our internet connections. and who need that...... thumbs down to this router, it's not no secured connection at the push of a button flexible and customizable setting through web interface..........not!!!!!!!!!!
