Most HelpfulThis is an excellent choice for someone looking for pre-paid wireless. Right now, the first 3 times you add minutes to your phone you get 100 free minutes. Minutes are always 10 cents and you have no roaming or long distance. Text messages are only 5 cents. Net 10 phones are CDMA which means...

Most HelpfulI have had NET10 since March 08 and the service is great. They talk about more bars well I am getting much better coverage than I did from Verizon. Verizon had no signal where I work, NET10 5bars. I have an LG phone and so far have never drepped a call. With Verizon I always dropped calls.
I would highly recomend NET10!!! I am saving a ton of money (with Verizon for the 400 min basic plan with taxes and fees I was at $49.00 a month, and min's did not roolover) With NET10 they have simple plans to meet almost everyone's needs. In my case I don't use the phone that much and I am using...
review »The phone overall is good..nothing fancy but if you need a phone with no contracts and want to keep in touch, it's pretty good. You pay 10cpm for all calls, incoming outgoing, it doesn't matter. You're minutes are subtracted even if no connection is made which I don't like.
Also make sure you don't call international. It doesn't tell you that you can't call, in fact the phone allows you to call overseas and even subtracts additional minutes from your prepaid card. But they will deactivate your phone without notice, and then you have to wait almost a week to get another sim card to use your phone...
review »Not too bad of a cell phone for someone who doesn't want to be tied down to a contract or be required to use so many minutes a month. You buy a card or purchase time on the internet in dominations of 300, 600 or I believe 1000 minutes at 10cpm and you have at least 3 months or more to use them up which isn't bad. Every time you purchase additional minutes, you get additional months added onto the time to use up the minutes.
The downside is that there are no free nights or weekends. Incoming calls and checking your messages go against your minutes and there isn't anyhting cheaper than 10cpm even...
review »This prepaid phone service is convenient, economical, and easy to monitor. The convenience comes from the many retailers that carry the prepaid minutes that you can just enter directly into the cell phone. In addition , you can buy minutes on-line.
The service is economical because airtime minutes are just 10 cents per minute everywhere, anytime. Also, there is no daily or monthly maintenance charges to subtract from your airtime balance. There is a large coverage area as well so no roaming charges!
Net10 is easy to monitor because you control the amount of minutes...
