When I was pregnant with my daughter she had such a strong dairy allergy that she made me lactose intolerant. When she was born the hospital tried her on a milk based formula and she immediately spit it up. They then put her on Similac's Soy formula. She responded well to it, but we noticed it was very expensive and the coupons they produce aren't much of a savings. We looked into other brands, but were nervous about switching. I was only able to breast feed for 2 months and even then had to suppliment because I didn't produce enough. We spoke with her doctor and he said it would be ok to switch to Nestle's Good Start as long as it was soy. We nervously bought a can knowing that we couldn't return it if she didn't like it. She loved it! We then e-mailed the company and told them about how much we loved their formula and they were very generous with their coupons. Also, for those who are on WIC, this is the formula that they give you so no need to worry about losing any of the nutritional value when you switch. My daughter loves this formula more than she did the expensive brands. At least with this brand you aren't paying for the fancy packaging.
