Neosporin Ointment 0.5 oz —

When I grew up it was that nasty red stuff that hurt like the devil or peroxide. I dub those years the "Painful" times in my life. You got hurt and then Mom would add to the hurt, it was like being punished fro getting hurt....lol

Neosporin

I was first introduced to Neosporin when I was 18 years old and decided to get my first tattoo. It wasn't by the tattooist either but by a friend of mine who already had several tattoos. About 2 days after my first tattoo it began to get real red and sore and he saw it and handed me a tube of Neosporin and told me to cover it with it and do it twice a day until it healed. I wore a light gauze over it for a few days with the Neosporin on it and the redness and soreness left by the 2nd day.

I got 2 other tattoos after that and each time I used Neosporin on them from the start and had no problems what so ever. When my family grew and I had children I used it for all their little scrapes and cuts. Never had any of them get infected in the 30 years I have been using it.

As I sit here now I have it on my thumb, why you ask...lol okay I will tell you why. About 2 months ago I was putting a door on my woodshed and like an idiot I smashed my thumb with a hammer. Now it has grown out and I have a big hole in my thumb nail as a result. With the Neosporin on my thumb I know it will not get infected and even had my Dr. look at it just in case. He said I will be fine and said the Neosporin will keep it safe until it finally heals.

Bottom Line

I have trusted my cuts, tattoos and my kids cuts with this for over 30 years now and I believe it is a wonderful product. It is slightly greasy and can get on other things but it is highly effective. It not only protects from infection it helps keep the area moist and I would recommend it to anyone.

Since you shop at Kroger you should try their Triple Antibiotic Ointment.
It has the same ingredients and costs less. Works great too.

If your allergic to Sulfa don't use this. I couldn't figure out why it bothered me so much after I put it on...A lady at work said she can't use it because of the sulfa in it...and I am allergic to that too...but it heals nice!

I always hated peroxide too....though it was kinda fun to watch it bubble! Can't do that with Neosporin!
