Anyone who uses the NeilMed Sinus Rinse kit to irrigate nasal passages and alleviate sinus problems may find this product helpful.  Once you've had your morning rinse, you end up with a drippy bottle that needs to be dried out before the next use. To that end, The NeilMed NasaDock was created as a solution to the problem of drying and storing the Sinus Rinse cap and bottle.

NeilMed NasaDock

At less than $4, I figured it wouldn't hurt to give the dock a chance to prove it was worthwhile. The product comes in a variety of colors (sky blue, black, cream, green, maroon, peach, pink, white, and grey) although it's not attractive enough to matter.  The NasaDock is described as a "simple, hygienic way to dry and store the Sinus Rinse bottle, cap, and tube"  I will agree that it is simple to dry and store the bottle but I highly doubt that it is hygienic.

The NasaDock is supposed to keep the irrigation system from being contaminated, which is important since a wet bottle is a magnet for germs.  The plastic holder has an opening for both the bottle and the cap-and-tube unit.  The dock can be mounted on a wall, a mirror, or tile.  The box includes two screws, two drywall anchors, two suction cups, and two lengths of double-sided tape for this purpose.

The reason I have issues with this product is the same reason I don't leave a toothbrush out to air dry in the bathroom.  Bathrooms are notorious for attracting mold and germs and every time a toilet is flushed, minute particles spray all over the room.  Hence, if your toothbrush--or sinus rinse bottle--is out in the open, you have the potential of contaminating your item.  Even if you can keep the germs off of the NasaDock, what about the dust that is floating everywhere?  Am I supposed to dust it off before I use it?

Overall, I think the NeilMed NasaDock is not a terribly effective solution to the problem of how to dry and store the Sinus Bottle.  I have returned to the way I had been doing it all along.  After use, I rinse the unit and then dry it thoroughly with a clean wash cloth.  I return it to its original package to store.  Problem solved, and I didn't have to put a screw through the wall to do it.

Good revierew. You are so right about the flushing toilet spraying...I don't blame you for bringing it back. Good review.
