When my twin girls switched to table foods, I saw these at the store. I wasn't sure if I'd like them, but thought that I would give them a shot. Each package has 18 Table Toppers and costs about $8.99. For me, that lasts quite while (my first pack lasted for about 7 months) since we don't eat out a lot.
They are easy to use. Take them out, peel the backing off of the adhesive strips and stick it on the table! Your kids then have a clean surface to eat from. What are they? Disposable placemats with cute designs like Sesame Street, Spongebob Squarepants, etc..
How do you use them? They are plastic sheets that come with adhesive running along the top and bottom. Once you peel off the backing, you will have a temporary adhesive that sticks to tables. Don't worry....the adhesive doesn't harm the finish.
Why buy them? They are great for restaurants, picnics, or anywhere your little one will have his/her hands. We eat out a lot and I always keep these in my purse and in the diaper bag because who knows what kind of germs are lingering...
