After researching all the brands of GPS and then comparing the four top-rated ones, I purchased a Navigon 2090S on sale for $129.99 at Radio Shack. It included both the mounting kit and the charging cord. These two items were an extra charge of approximately $19.99 with most of the other brands I compared. The charging cord is compatible with other devices that I own so it makes it convenient to carry just one cord in the car. Also included were free downloadable map updates for two years. One other brand charged an additional $70 just for one map update. It has text and voice directions. It remembers the addresses that you drive to and makes it very easy for return trips. It is extremely accurate and even tells you when you are in a school zone. It also tells you what type of area you are in - for example, residential, business or rural. It also knows the speed limit in the area you are in and warns you if you exceed it by 5 mph. All in all, I feel the Navigon 2090S is of good quality and has all the necessary features at the best price.
