Quick View: I'm a BzzAgent and recently received four amazing all natural cleaning products to try. I did not agree to write any reviews, positive or negative, on any of the products. I am doing it because I want to share my experiences. The first product I tried was Nature's Source Natural Bathroom Cleaner. I expected it to be weak and incapable of cleaning like "real" bathroom cleaners but I was wrong. This product works fine and smells great!

About Nature's Source Natural Bathroom Cleaner

SC Johnson, the makers of Windex, Scrubbing Bubbles, and many other cleaning products, have jumped into the eco friendly world of all natural household cleaners and I am liking what they have come up with. I once had a severe reaction to two bathroom cleaners I was using that apparently were not meant to be used together. The chemicals made me sick enough for a trip to the ER where I had to wear an oxygen mask for over an hour before I started to feel better. I have since made my husband use the strong stuff for fear of another reaction. Now I have no excuse not to do all the scrubbing myself. Hmmm.

Nature's Source Natural Bathroom Cleaner comes in a 26 ounce partially recycled (and recyclable) plastic bottle with a nozzle trigger spray top. The ingredients are all natural with no chemicals whatsoever. They include a plant based cleansing agent, lactic acid, and purified water. The scent is great! It's fresh and clean and not at all like the scent of traditional chemical laden cleansers.

The spray comes out in a stream. I wish it came out in more of a mist but that's just my preference. It's clear and can be used on chrome, fiberglass, tile, porcelain, plastic, stainless steel, synthetic marble, and vinyl. The product foams up well and goes right to work on even tough dirt, grime, soap scum, and all that yucky stuff that seems to grow overnight in bathrooms. I used it on my bathtub and the surrounding, my sink, the outside of the toilet (everything but the bowl - I used their Toilet Bowl Cleaner for that. Review coming!), and the tiling. The scent was so pleasant that it was really actually almost fun to clean the bathroom for a change. OK, not FUN, but at least I could breathe while doing it.

Nature's Source Natural Bathroom Cleaner is very effective. It didn't bust through one area of really tough stains in an old bathroom that we have at our marina but I doubt anything but sandblasting could do a perfect job of removing that junk. In all, I am super pleased with Nature's Source Natural Bathroom Cleaner and absolutely will buy it when my bottle runs out. It costs about $3.50 - $5.00 a bottle and depen ding on where you shop, for all natural and safe ingredients that really work, that's a steal. Look for sales. The product is new and will be on sale everywhere for a while. I'm stocking up!

My Viewpoint

My mother was unwittingly "green" years before that word was even used in conjunction with the environment. We used baking soda, salt, and all kinds of natural household products as cleaning agents because baking soda and salt were a nickel and cleaning products were much more expensive. I am so happy to find natural products to use again that aren't super expensive. I can breathe when I clean and everything in the bathroom looks so nice and shiny! Hey Ma, I'm green now too! I give this product 4 stars. It won't blast through super tough, ages old crud but it cleans normal bathrooms as well as the chemical laden stuff. Don't forget to recycle the bottle!

I didn't know that. I just spray it all over the place. I don't have any problems with the natural stuff but do with the chemical stuff.

I've been so dumb. This company finally made it clear I should put cleanser on a damp cloth instead of sprinkling in the sink and having a chemical attack. I need to look at their other products.

They are trying to help the environment and that's rare with big companies. Their natural products are very good too!

TunefulGal wrote on Mar 22, 2009 at 2:45AM

It's not surprising that S.C. Johnson has come up with good green products. They're using wind power and methane from a landfill to help power their plants. Just imagine a really eco-active big business. I really enjoyed your review, Patty.

If I managed to use it, you can. I can't believe I actually scrubbed the toilet!!

LaurieM wrote on Mar 21, 2009 at 10:30PM

Sounds good but where do I get the ambition to actually USE it? heh

LisaCarey wrote on Mar 21, 2009 at 1:49PM

I actually only want something that smells good and doesn't send me to the hospital. Pine Sol used to make me sick but I can stand it now. And it works!

JovialCougar wrote on Mar 18, 2009 at 11:09PM

I never seem to think about buying these ''green products'' when I'm in the store. I hope using old-fashioned Pine Sol doesn't end civilization as we know it :()
