When I found out recently of some health problems I had, blood work performed in the process showed that my Vitamin D levels were low. My doctor recommended that I start taking a Vitamin D supplement on a daily basis and he would repeat the blood work 30 days after. So I went online searching for the best Vitamin D supplement that wouldn't taste yucky and cause nausea and upset stomach. I have a problem taking most vitamin supplements because they just don't digest well in my system. After reading many reviews I bought Nature's Bounty Spring Valley Vitamin D 1000 IU. It was reasonably priced and had great reviews. These vitamins were very easy to swallow, didn't make me nauseated and did the job. I had blood work performed approximately 30 after starting this supplement and my Vitamin D levels were back to normal. So I'm satisfied with this product and recommend it because it's a great product that actually works.

Vitamin D is so important because it is the vitamin that helps our body absorb calcium and other minerals and vitamins better into our bones. For people who are outside all day and get plenty of sunshine this might not help you that much but for those of us who work in office settings and are not able to absorb natural vitamin d from the sun, this stuff is so necessary! No one should take vitamins without vitamin D and it is definitely worth always adding this into your daily vitamin routine even if you take a multi-vitamin that includes some vitamin D. This specific package of Nature's Bounty is a great deal because you get two but that would last someone a while who isn't sharing this with other individuals so many sure it suits your needs and doesn't expire. Also, Vitamin D pills are great when it comes to actually taking them because they are small so you will hardly notice the addition when it comes to adding these into your daily routine!

I never even gave taking Vitamin D a chance. I never thought that I needed it because it did not seem like one of those few essential vitamins that you are always told that you need to take in order to stay healthy. I had no idea that I was deficient in Vitamin D until I had blood work done. The doctor told me that I was pretty deficient and that I needed to start taking Vitamin D supplements immediately. So I went to a very large chain store and picked out Spring Valley because I know they are a quality brand that I recognize. In fact, ALMOST every individual vitamin supplement we have in our home (minus a few) is made from Spring Valley. That is how much of a quality product those folks make! I have not had my blood checked in quite awhile so I can not say if my vitamin D levels are back to normal but I can almost guarantee that they are because I have been taking this supplement almost every day! I highly recommend you take vitamin D, but I recommend even more that you make your purchase from a very well known and trusted brand, Spring Valley.

I think that the product does help with improving mood and hormones, but it seems like whenever I take it it causes low back pain. Maybe It is just a coincidence, but it seems to happen every time. There is a warning with Vitamin D that it can cause kidney stones, so I don't know if it is related to that or not. I definitely do find that I am consistently in a better mood when I take this product regularly. I have also found that I have to take it with foods rich in folic acid in order to really feel the effects of it. I haven't noticed any side effects other than the low back pain. If you are indoors a lot and/or have had your vitamin D levels tested and know they are low, then I would still recommend this product. the benefits for me personally out weigh the risks. I do recommend this product despite the low back pain associated with it, because I don't know if that is a direct cause of the supplement.

I went to the doctor and had my blood tested. I was very surprised when she came back and said that I needed to add vitamin D into my daily intake. Really? But then I realized that as you mature you don't spend nearly as much time outside as you did when you were younger. I used to live to be outside. I was outside with the kids watching them play and playing with them. We would go to sporting events, to the beach, to the lake. Now, the kids are gone and I seem to spend more time inside. It was great to find Nature Bounty Spring Valley Vitamin D tablets at my local Walmart. They are small and so easy to swallow. And, I love it when I find vitamins in twin packs!!! You get so much for your money!!! Nature Bounty Spring Valley is such a great and dependable brand. I look for all my vitamin needs with this brand first. Not only is it a brand that I can trust, but the value is really amazing! Next time you are vitamin aisle I would recommend that you compare the price of what you are using now to this and I will guarantee that you will be pleasantly surprized.

**Nature's Bounty Spring Valley - Vitamin D-3 1000 IU, Twin Pack, 200 Tablets (100 Tablets Each Bottle) is both priced fairly and easily swallowed. I have always had difficulty swallowing large pills but these are easy to swallow. and I also feel so much better taking vitamin d esspecially in the winter time when I am not getting enough from the sun. I have read mutiple articles on the befits of vitamin d and i really believe strongly people dont get the amount that they should, but research it yourself to see what you think. I love this brand because it is both a good value and a good product and one i am comfortable taking. I went to the Doctor because I had a hump on the back of my lower neck and they thought I might have cushings disease.  After many tests and lots of questions, the doctor said I needed Vitiamin D-3.  I take 2000 IU's each day and I feel very good.  The doctor explained to me that when you are older, (i am 72 years old) and do not go out into the sun and sit alot, you need additional Vitamin D-3 to help you feel better and not be so down.  It really works.  I like where I can get the two bottles for the price of one and I get the gel caps which are very easy to swallow.  I like it when you can use a vitamin instead of some kind of  prescription pill to help you feel better and get the daily requirement for older people of vitamin D-3.  I couldn't belief how much better I feel and when I ran out of pills the other day, I could really feel the difference.  Both my husband and I use the Nature's Bounty Spring Valley vitamins.  He takes Vitamin E and I take the Vitamin D-3.

I looked everywhere for the 1000 IU and couldn't find it.  I was in our neighborhood drug store and there the D-3 was in the Nature's Bounty line.  These are small clear round pills and so easy to swallow. I have a lot of vitamins by Nature's Bounty and I am never disappointed.**

I work with children daily and everyone knows that kids tend to get sick frequently. I didn't want to be sick all the time so I went to walgreens and invested in some vitamin d. My dad is a PA and read that vitamin D is probably the most important vitamin to take to prevent sickness, espcially in winter months. We get vitamin D from the sun mostly so unless your in the sun lots, you probably dont have enough. It also promotes immune and bone health. I looked into several different kinds and this one needed to be the most healthy, and a great deal. It is the number one vitamin brand and for about 7 bucks you get 200 tablets. I take them during sick seasons and especially anytime I feel a little cold or sore throat starting to brew. Just take one tablet and go to bed early and you'll kick that cold before it even starts. Its best taken with food.  I give one to myself and my husband in the mornings while we eat breakfast and I have notices we hardly ever get sick now.
