Nature Valley - Sweet & Salty Nut Granola Bars Reviews

I first bought this product at a convenience store when I was looking for a healthier snack.  Boy, did I stumble on something great!  I tried the "peanut" variety, and I was immediately hooked.  I have since bought a box of them at my local grocery store (just over $3 for a box of six bars, so not a bad deal), and I definitely intend to buy more.

The product is exactly as advertised.  The peanuts provide the salty flavor, while a peanut butter coating on the bottom of the bar provides the sweet flavor.  The taste is not what you might expect from a granola bar.  The taste, I found, is more...

I have never been a big granola bar fan. I buy them for the car, the boat and for hikes but I have never found any I really love. Until I found Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Nut granola bars. I swear this are so good, I could live on these. Really!

They come in four flavors: peanut, almond, cashew and mixed nuts. They are all good but my favorite are the almond followed by mixed nuts, just in case you needed to know that!

They are not the healthiest choice as they contain both High Maltose and high fructose corn syrup as the 2nd and 5th ingredients with sugar coming in as the 4th. The good news is...

Recently my local grocery store had a sale on these so I bought a few boxes. I would have never imagined the goodness that would come from that box.

I particularly like the cashew but the almond are good also. They are soft with just the right amount of sweetness. The bottom is dipped in a sweet cashew (or almond) sugar concoction.

I didn't necessarily taste much salt but I don't really like salt so that was fine with me. Although these are probably not that good for you, they are better then some treats. These absolutely take care of any sweet craving you may be having.

I don't even know how to describe these snack bars. I rarely buy "bars" of any kind, but I think I had a coupon and thought I'd try these, and I am forever hooked! You have the peanut bars dipped in peanut butter coating, which are divine, but then you have the almond bars dipped in almond butter coating, which are to die for! If you're a nut lover and sometimes just need something on the run to hold you over 'til you get the kids picked up from school and get dinner on the table......THIS IS YOUR SOLUTION! You will love these sweet & salty snacks!!

My family loves this snack.  the granola bars taste great and come in 3 flavors:  Peanut; Almond; Mixed Nut).  They have a better consistency than flakey, crust-like competitors, and also seem to be more filling.  They also have healthy ingredients.  All come in a box of six, and worth the price.

We love these bars in our house! They taste great, and have healthy nuts and a yummy taste! My husband even grabs them on the go for a work snack. The taste is awesome. To me they tast like one of my favorite candy bars! A nut roll! YUM!
