Nature Made is the only brand of multivitamin I have found that does not contain gelatin.  As a vegetarian, this is an important factor in choosing a product.  I don't know a lot about the formula, but if you're looking for a vitamin that isn't in a gelcap, this is a good brand to try.

Actually, I spoke too soon. You're correct. And I also noticed that there's a difference between some of the NatureMade Multi's -- some have the gelatin that you mentioned (containing fish) and some have non-bovine gelatin, which means, as you said, that it's not from a bovine animal but can be from a variety of other animals.

Oh, interesting. Do you know what the source is? I thought non-bovine just meant not from a bovine animal, though likely from some other animal.

The NatureMade Multi Complete liquid softgels contain "Gelatin (non-bovine)." So, yes, they are indeed vegetarian.

straight from the ingredients of NatureMade Multi Complete: ... Gelatin (Fish from one or more of the following: Cod, Cusk, Flounder, Haddock, Hake, Pollock, Redfish, Sole)...

so, it's not vegetarian

have you found an alternate vitamin that is vegetarian?
