Nature Made Cholestoff —

My cholesteral reading was at 269 last time I went in and my Dr. was having a fit.  Before putting me on a prescription though he wanted me to try diet and a few natural alternatives.  I take this along with fish oil, and red rice yeast capsules. I went back  one month later and my cholesteral had dropped to 229...still too high of course but much better than the 269.  I also have been very careful to cut out a lot of things that were a regular part of my diet, like half and half in my coffee, an occasional donut and I never fry anything anymore so all of this in combo with the plant sterols and stanols etc in this product have seemed to help.  I look forward to my next test next month as he is keeping a close eye on it and hope to see it even lower by then.  Best place I have found to purchase this is at Sam's Wholesale for the lowest cost.

Interesting. I am trying to avoid high cholesterol and take fish oil and Benacol chews (plant stanols) and I am hoping to lower my bad and raise my good cholesterol. I wonder if this stuff would be OK to use with the other things I take? I'll have to look into it!

Good luck in your cholesterol lowering endeavor! I, also went the "natural" way for reducing my cholesterol as the prescription drug "statins" caused severe muscle weakness and pain. I was taking red yeast rice and it was doing very well to keep my cholesterol around 170's. HOWEVER, I receive medical alerts and updates from MedTrackAlert.com, and there was just recently, an article regarding red yeast rice. The FDA is demanding that a few manufacturer's remove their products from the shelves immediately. There is proof that some of these natural supplements can lead to kidney failure and other major health risks/concerns up to and including death. You may want to peruse the reading at MedTrackAlert.com/redyeastrice.
Thought you may want to know of this rather recent development. I am a RN and can't help but keep up to date on health issues.
