We bought this type of food after a suggestion from a friend to try a non grain based food in order to see if it helped with some skin and itching problems she was having. I had never heard of such a thing but my friend has had dogs all throughout her life and she said that many animals as they become older will become sensitive to grains. I tried the food and the dog seemed to enjoy it, so we kept her on it and other non grain treats for about a month. There was a noticeable improvement in both her skin and her coat. I have also noticed a big improvement of her kidney function since the switch to this food. I was really very pleased to know a simple diet change could cause such improvement, for one of my dogs I considered it for all of them. I would highly recommend this dog food to others especially people with an older animal, like ours. I was also surprised to find this food to be comparable in price to almost all the others, and less expensive than a few I have seen.

Two years after I bought my dogs, I noticed that they were having problems digesting and pooping. My friends advised me to buy Natural Balance, which she said would help with the allergies and digestive problems. It only took a couple of weeks to notice the difference in my dogs. They were a lot more friendly and relaxed, and looked much healthier. They both act like they are puppies all over again! Both of my dogs' coats look great and super shiny. I have experimented with other Natural Balance kibble, and so far Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Chicken has worked the best. I would recommend this product to all dog owners because all dogs will do very well on this diet. Quality of Ingredients All of the ingredients are 100% natural, and give dogs the protein and energy they need. Flavor Selection My dogs are really picky about their food, and yet they seem to think that Natural Balance food is really tasty. They just gobble up the kibble at mealtimes.

I have so many good things to say about this dog food. Affordable. Dogs can all digest it. Dogs all love it. Great ingredients. In a word, quality. We kept trying different natural brands but with four dogs it was hard to find one food that worked for everyone. This one does! It also made their coats fuller and shiner, and the tear stains on my American Eskimo mix actually went away. No complaints about Natural Balance here, only raves. This LID dog food is great!

When I brought my new puppy home, I transitioned her to Natural Balance and she has loved it from day 1! We've tried a few different varieties, and she seems to prefer the chicken & sweet potato. Her coat is thick and shiny, she doesn't have a "doggie odor," and she never walks away from a piece of kibble. I love the size and shape of Natural Balance's kibble--she's a large breed, and with some puppy foods, she didn't chew at all. The flat discs are harder for her to gulp down without chewing at least once first. My vet recommended Natural Balance Chicken & Sweet Potato for its high protein content and because it doesn't contain the filler that grocery store brands are made of, and there are no by-products, artificial flavorings, or unhealthy corn meal. It's a brand I feel good about feeding her, and I don't mind paying a bit more than the grocery store brands tend to cost. It's also pretty easy to find, as it is available in all the big name pet stores as well as several small mom and pop pet shops in my area.

I switched my dogs food to this about a month ago. Since they've been on it they have become more active, they are like puppies again. There fur is shiny and they go crazy when it's time to eat. This food is great and not that pricy!

We have two dogs, one with a stomach of steel, and one with what we kindly refer to as a "fluffy tummy."  Our golden retriever does not typically like dry dog food without something extra added to it, but she only has to look at a new food to get explosive diarrhea and vomiting.  Many mornings, we would awaken to her having thrown up or having had a bathroom accident in her crate.  What a terrible way to start the morning!  I spoke with a salesperson at a local dog food store and told her our dilemma.  I let her know we had tried several dry dog foods without much success.  She recommended Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Chicken Dry Dog Food.  We bought a small bag and gradually transitioned both dogs to this dry kibble.  It truly has been a lifesaver!  We have not had a single episode of further gastrointestinal distress, even during the transition period.  Our dogs seem to like the taste of this food and gobble it up without us having to add anything extra to it.  Putting our dog with the sensitive stomach on a grain-free kibble was the answer for us.
