Natural Balance Green Pea and Duck Formula Dry Cat Food is a limited ingredient, grain free product. The food is made for both kittens and adult cats. It does not have any artificial flavors or colors. It is a highly digestible cat food that meets the nutritional guidelines established by the AAFCO. Also, Natural Balance has a program where you can get one free bag of this cat food for every same sized 12 bags you purchase. You do have to cut out and turn in the UPC codes and fill out a simple information envelope (to place the UPC codes in) that asks for your name, address, where you bought the product and dates. Since I have five cats and feed four feral cats from my neighborhood, this program is very helpful to me. Quality of Ingredients The ingredient list for this dry food is simple, limited and very good quality. Other than added vitamins and minerals, the ingredient list is as follows: peas, duck, duck meal, pea protein, canola oil, flaxseed, and natural flavor. My cats will eat this but do prefer the Natural Balance Green Pea and Chicken Formula better. I use the duck formula to change things up since they do seem to tire of eating the same foods, day in and day out. Flavor Selection This dry food comes in three flavor formulations, Green Pea and Duck, Green Pea and Chicken, & Green Pea and Salmon. This is one of several foods that I feed my cats on a regular basis. I only feed my kitties grain free dry food with no by-products or artificial ingredients. My cats and I are very pleased with this food.

My cats love this food. About a year ago I did some research to find my cats a better food. I found several, but I think that Natural Balance suits my cat family best for the price. It is both grain free and limited ingredient diet. One of my cats has a food allergy. I was very glad to find a food with a single protein source at a reasonable price. One of my other cats is overweight so I would like it better if it had higher protein and less carbohydrate content. They love the taste and are still enjoying it. Quality of Ingredients I think the food is high quality. I do wish that duck was the first listed ingredient instead of the green peas. Grain free is a great option. I think that my cats have fewer issues than they did on cat foods with wheat and corn. Flavor Selection I have been feeding my cats duck, because one of my cats has a food allergy. I would also prefer that they had a rabbit limited ingredient diet choice.

I love my cat like a child, so when he started developing intestinal problems, that included an emergency vet trip for bleeding (back there) I started investigating putting him on a grain free diet, after the vet suggested that his food was causing the problem. I first started him on the Natural Balance wet food, and left him on the Iam's sensitive stomach. After the major Iams recall, I decided it was time to switch him to full grain free, and 100 percent Natural balance. I was a little nervous about this because my cat is a notoriously fussy eater. I bought the Duck and Green Pea formula based upon the favorable reviews others had posted online. Typically when you switch a cat's fod it is supposed to be gradual, but because of the Iam's recall I didn't. Much to my surprise he went right for it when I switched it out and loves it. So happy he on completely natural food now. It is more expensive than other brands, but he has had no further intestinal issues.

Who ever heard of a cat allergic to chicken? I hadn't. So I bought this food to give him an isolated protein with other whole ingredients, and amazingly his rash went away. This Natural Balance cat food gives him no problems, he digests it very well and best of all he likes it. Quality of Ingredients all-natural

My kitty Brit was having terrible problems with his ears - scratching, losing hair, sometimes red spots - it was terrible. His personality changed too - I could tell my poor baby was miserable. Our vet suggested Natural Balance LID - because it turned out he had allergies to the food we were feeding him. We got him this Green Pea & Duck cat food and within a week his ears started clearing up - amazing! This is a miracle food AND he loves it. Brit is acting like a king again - and the king only gets the very best food now!

One of my cats has a ton of allergies and this is one of the few foods he can eat.  When I started mixing this into my old cat food, both of my cats would pick this food out of the bowl immediately.  They've been on it ever since.  Both cats have a silky, shiny coat and eat less than they previously did.  This food is fanatastic.

I tried this formula on my cats and they tolerated it but weren't too crazy about it, maybe because of the strong "pea" odors. I do use it occassionally on the rotation diet. I always mix two different high quality grain free products together so my cats can have variety. Good for cats with allergies to chicken or beef though. They do like the canned food version green pea and duck and the chicken and duck, both good grain free canned food.

I believe it is important to feed your animals high quality food.  I feed myself natural high quality food, so why wouldn't I feed my cat the same thing.  Natural Balance does a great job at providing high quality natural cat food at a reasonable price.  I like that this food has few artificial ingredients and is more wholesome than most brands of cat food.  I have tried other varieties of Natural Balance dry cat food, and it appears that my cat loves the Green Pea & Duck Formula the best.  I have been feeding him this for quite a few years now and he loves it.  Some dry cat food manufactures try to advertise their food as wholesome or natural but in reality, it contains very few natural, whole ingredients.  Natural Balance provides a good balance of wholesome ingredients and great flavor.  The morsels are not too big or small.  I would recommend this food to anyone who cares about the health of their cat.

I wanted my cat to eat it and enjoy it. The ingredients are GREAT especially for a cat (such as mine with food intolerances and allergies) and what's not to love about the price (significantly cheaper than other limited ingredient diets on the market). Sadly, my cat would not touch a bite of it. I tried mixing it with her food. I tried offering it to her as a treat away from her food bowl. So sad, but she would not touch the stuff. Buy it from a store that allows returns. I had to return my bag, but it was worth a try since it does have such high quality ingredients and it really is safe for your cat. I just wish my cat had had the good sense to eat it. It would have been good for her and my pocket book. The only thing to keep in mind with these types of non-light formulas is that we need to watch portion control and not over feed our cats. I did not have this problem, but my veterinarian did warm me about it. Unfortunately, my cat wouldn't even touch the stuff!

I bought this food for my hedgehog originally because there are some strict guidelines for their diets and this product adheres to those guidelines--that means it has some great ingredients!  My hedgehog loves this food and will eat it first out of the mix I have for him (which consists of 3-4 other foods, and this is his favorite out of all those).  My cat decided he would like to try some as well, and now my cat is also hooked on the Natural Balance Green Pea and Duck food.  Both of my boys love it! I love that there are good ingredients and that it is not full of fillers.  The first three ingredients are all great ingredients compared to other brands, which is exceptional.  My pets love it and I love the ingredients, so there is no need to compromise.  Additionally, it is not all that expensive.  The only drawback is you have to find a pet store that sells it--department stores do not carry it, though they should. I highly recommend this cat food.
