Best dog food ever!

5

We adopted a puppy who had severe allergies we tried every dog food we could think of and this is by far the best one we have found. He is not losing his hair anymore and is more active and his overall health is better. Quality of Ingredients The ingredients seem to be of great quality, we have had very few issues with allergy flares since he has been in this food. The limited ingredients makes it easier to monitor what the dog is getting. I also like that he is not getting all the fillers and unnatural foods that he would not normally get if he were in the wild. It is a little expensive but I feel that we feed less and it is a better quality food. It also has cut the number of vet visits due to allergic reactions. Flavor Selection There are several different varieties but since we are unsure what he is allergic to we stick to one flavor and get the treats of the same flavor. It limits the possible exposure to things he is allergic too.

Best Ever

Life saver for me and my dog. This has to be the best grain-free kibble option out there. My dog is beyond picky and for her to even deign to eat this is a Godsend. What a time we've had with her scratching and her coat issues, and in a relatively short amount of time, this saved the day. The scratching has all but gone, she shines, her coat is healthy, and she has a good deal more energy than before. I truly trust this brand. our dogs are our babies, so why would you feed your baby something less than best? I don't usually feel this firmly about any product, but I can truly say I stand by this one. They have a good price range and good variety and they keep coming out with more flavors for the Limited Ingredient line...good job natural Balance! I couldn't be more happy. Be sure to try the other options -- they have a duck and potato "roll" that you can keep in the freezer and cut pieces off. My dog loves that too! If your dog doesn't have any grain issues or allergies, get the regular Natural Balance kibble. Your dog definitely needs kibble for protein and for fiber. I don't have to worry about the flavor I get or whether it's kibble or one of their rolls or the wet fed. My dog loves them all. Truly, don't hesitate and if your dog doesn't eat it and enjoy it, I would be very very surprised. But try different flavors and kinds of food to get your dog going....it's important to keep your dog on one brand and if you have to switch then slowly introduce the other kibble in with the kibble the dog already eats. This way there won't be "digestive issues." Check out the Natural Balance website too. Their snacks and treats are awesome as well. Thank you Natural Balance! Quality of Ingredients No yucky stuff, no fillers, just straight protein and fiber and everything your dog needs for healthy digestion. Flavor Selection One thing I love about Natural Balance is how they offer a variety of flavors to make sure your dog finds the ones that work. Fish and sweet potato is a good standby, especially if your dog has skin or coat issues. Bison is one of the newest -- a winner for sure. Rabbit, venison, duck -- all really good flavors that dog loves. And it's not just "flavored" food -- it's made from the real meat. If your dog needs Limited Ingredients (grain free) then just check to make sure the flavor is one of the grain free ones. They're coming out with new LID flavors all the time.

Very Pleased with this food

My mom's two medium sized mutt dogs have numerous digestive issues. After many trips to the vet he switched them onto a prescription Duck and Potato formula from Science Diet. It was very expensive and she had to buy it from the vet, but the dogs improved considerably. I decided to see if I could find a non-prescription dog food that would work just as well (and cost less). By comparing ingredients we settled on Natural Balance Potato and Duck Formula. This food falls into their Limited Ingredient Diet range, which is aimed at dogs with food allergies and sensitive tummies. The first ingredient is potatoes, but the next two are duck meal and duck. There are no grains in this food. It might not be top range quality, but it is far better than the prescription food they were on before. But the proof is in how well it works. Both dogs seem to love the taste and are happy to eat this food. Their digestive issues have not returned and they seem to be very healthy on this food. It costs about half as much as the prescription food and is better quality. It is also more convenient because it is available at most pet stores, feed stores and online.

A Miracle Dog Food!

5

My two Papillions had so much trouble until we found this miracle food! They were itching, scratching, had red spots and also some upset stomach issues. A friend suggested it was something in their food so we decided to switch. We tried so many different brands but settled on Natural Balance Potato & Duck L.I.D. and in a matter of days they weren't scratching and were happy again! They make this formula in canned food and treats, so our babies never feel deprived while staying healthy. Also, they loved the taste right away - which is saying a lot because they have known to be picky. We love Natural Balance!

With my dogs allergies it can sometimes be hard not being able to give her different treats like any other dog could enjoy! With the variety they have in flavors its finally great to be able to offer my pup something that I know she will love and enjoy!

the natural balance duck and potato dog food is great

This is a great dog food! I think the name of it says alot about it. "Natural" is such a great thing for my dogs. They just love the taste of it! It is an amazing dog food. It seems my dogs are extremely healthy and have lovely shiny coats when they eat this food. It is an amazing natural dog food for my dog that has been diagnosed with many allergies. The price is rather expensive but it is totally worth it. I have not had any problems with my dogs putting on extra weight as some others have suggested their dogs did. The smell is not at all too strong. As I said my dogs were mainly put on this diet for allergies but I would recommend even if your dogs do not have any allergies. I love that it does not contain any extra fillers that could cause their allergies to flair up. I feel like I am being a responsible pet parent when i purchase this food for my dogs. It is hard to find sometimes as I live in a rural area.

Awesome food that your pet will love!

I'm not going to drop any names because I'm afraid to get in trouble, but I used to buy my pet a certain brand that my vet swore by. My dog ate it just fine, but she was a puppy so I suppose she had no idea what other food tasted like since it's all I fed her I got her at 2 months old. I decided to research dog food in order to see what made the brand I purchased better than the brands you see on promoting on TV commercials. I found out that the amount of content in food depends in the order that they are written so you should buy food based on what the first 3 ingredients that are written because they constitute the majority of the content in the food. Basically most foods contain rice, etc as the first couple of ingredients. This food is great because the first 3 ingredients are Potato, Duck and Duck Meal which means it contains a generous amount of carbs and protein, when other foods generally lack protein. Technical things aside, as soon as I served my puppy this food, whatever was on her bowl disappeared within minutes. She fell in love with the food. Needless to say, the other bag (despite being half-full) got thrown away. A bit pricier than other food, but totally worth it if you want a healthy puppy.

good alternative from the vension and sweet potato one

we have an hungarian vizsla that we got about 7 months ago when he was 2 month old (that is, he's about 9 months of age now) from a breeder way out in the state of mousorri. he initially had many many problems with different kinds of food and would have the terrible case of the runs or would even throw up food (poor fella!). we started feeding him the natural balance venison and sweet potato for the longest time and it worked out beautifullly. he was eating alot / decent / appropriate amount of food each day and it was having a good effect on him. we loved the venison and sweet potato dry kiddle from natural balance. the only problem was that it's quite expensive at around fifty bucks per bag containing about twenty eight pounds of food. im not a millionaire (wish i were) and it started becoming a bit of a burden to spend all this money on our dog. so i switched it up to the duck and potato formula and its working out just as nice. i saved about 5 to 10 bucks per bag and i do not noticed anything bad from the switch. i think its because natural balance is an excellent brand. A++++

Great Brand

I have recently switched my two dogs over to Natural Balance dog food - specifically the Duck and Potato blend, small bites for small breeds. I wanted to graduate my pooches from puppy food to adult kibble and while searching the local pet store aisles, I moved from brand to brand checking the food's ingredients. Nearly every bag that I picked up had corn or corn bi-product listed amongst its top ingredients, which was shocking to me as corn is just a cheap filler in dry dog food - not good! I finally came upon Natural Balance, which was reasonably priced (no higher or lower than any of the other dog food on the shelves) and appeared to have quality ingredients. My dogs love this dog food and I love that my dogs are consuming natural ingredients that will keep them happy and healthy. Natural Balance also has a great line of natural dog treats and treat rolls if you want to get away from some of those over-processes name-brand puppy snacks!

Naturlal Balance Duck and Potato is wonderful

5

My bulldog always had skin allergies. He would break out with pustules all over his stomach, groin and armpit areas. We tried meds for years. I couldn't afford allergy testing, so my vet recommended Natural Balance, with in 2 weeks he was clear! He went off the allergra (which made him so tired he would pee in his sleep!) and has been on this for 2 years, with out any allergy symptoms! It is a bit expensive, but so worth the money! It is higher calorie, so you have to be careful how much you feed! He has to eat a little less food than it is recommended on the bag, he has a tendency to get a little "pudgy", and probably would be on a lite food if not for the allergens. All of the natural balance allergy treatment foods have been wonderful. I do tend to switch flavors, so that he doesn't get board. He loves them all and they all have worked to prevent any allergic reactions. As I stated, the cost is a bit more, but for keeping my dog's quality of life higher, it is by far worth it!
