i signed up with nationwide and never noticed how my bill was slowly going up.i called them on several occasions to ask, and was told it goes up when my property assessment goes up. they would raise the value of my home, along with real estate taxes, and nationwide knew long before i got my assessment in the mail and my tax bill, so they increased the insurance to match the house value. so i tried to argue with them, my home is brick, so if it's destroyed i can rebuild with siding, they said you have to build to match the neighborhood, my point was, there are homes all around me with half brick, half siding, or all siding, etc. just 2 streets over, they wouldn't budge, so i did not renew and went with another company and so far, i have submitted many comparisons for home insurance and nobody beats the price i pay now. i am glad i canceled, and my new insurance company i have been with for two years now, has not increased my home insurance and my car insurance continues to go down each year. i am not saying all of nationwide offices are the same, i found out the long and hard way that all offices treat people different, the only thing that bothers me is that one office makes the whole company look bad.
