Nationwide Insurance —
This information is ten years old and may not be true any more but it was bad enough that I've remembered it all this time. I used to have Nationwide auto insurance and for several years was charged the highest rate as if I were driving a delivery truck. After several phone calls this was uncovered, they an error they made resulting in hundreds of dollars in increased premiums for me. I requested a refund which they refused to issue.. Also around this same time I hit my neighbors car at night. I gave him my insurance number but the next day it was discovered his car wasn't damaged. He filled a claim anyway and they paid it without investigating. Of cource my premium went up and when I called to find out why I discovered that they don't investigate claims of at the time $500.00. They didn't care that it was a fraudulant claim, I had to pay for it anyway. I changed insurance carriers and would never go back to Nationwide.
