Nationwide Insurance —

As a Mystery Shopper, I got the great job of phoning 7 insurance companies via phone numers on the list.  Some I got answering machines & was told to leave name, phone number and message & they call back 2 days later.  Other answered but put me on hold without my permission, thus many got below 5 score.

Then I called Nationwide, who I expected to be way higher than many of the others including Ameriprise who I have been with for 15 years since they are AMEX division.  The great gal named Sarah answered on the first ring.  I told her it was time to shop for auto/home insurance package.  Her fees matched what I was presently paying with Ameriprise.  She got extra points for emailing me the quote.

So almost a year later, she is going through her records of past inquiries.  So she phones me a month before my policy was to expire.  Ameriprise was no longer a division of AMEX, they are now IDS Insurance and my new policies mailed to me are close to double for coverage.  IDS Auto $515 Nationwide $276,  IDS Home $600, Nationwide $313 and $500 not $1000 deductible.

So join me in checking them out as they are rated by the Insurance council as #1

I’m glad I have nothing to do with Nationwide. Unfortunately I got hit by a driver insured by them. What a nightmare. Shady business, unprofessional, worst experience in my life.

I got quotes from 5 different major US auto insurance companies instantly online in under an hour. All were $1000 or more below what I'm currently paying for family's insurance through Nationwide for the exact same coverage. Geico was $1500 below. I've never been late on a payment and haven't a single claim in 10 years. Goodbye Nationwide. I wish I price compared years ago.

we've had Nationwide insurance for over 20 years for our vehicles and house both. Our agent has always been helpful and up to date. We've recommended Nationwide to several people.
