Nationwide Insurance —

Nationwide Insurance enters into contracts with "Preferred" collision repair facilities referred to as "Blue Ribbon" shops ... Shops concede to fixing collision damage in accordance with Nationwide dictates ... In exchange, Nationwide sends volume of work to "Blue Ribbon" shops ... Nationwide then dictates the use of sub-standard parts and procedures that compromise (or void) factory warranties ... Shoddy Repairs are common ... unSafe Repairs are Not unCommon ... The wording of Nationwide Policies has been re-written to Diminished the Rights of Policyholders ... Keep Shopping - you CAN do BETTER than Nationwide !

I have to say everyone is entitled to their own opinions, however, I would just like to comment on this review - If a person doesn't like the work that has been done on their car, they do not have to accept the car until it is done the right way! I have had a few bumps accidents by my kids and when it wasn't acceptable to me, they kept it until it was! You don't have to send to Blue Ribbon, you can send it wherever you want!!!

good for you Mr. Independent shop owner, good for you. Standup to Nationwide and all the others.

As a collision repair shop owner, I currently have a consumer with a nationwide/allied claim. They are trying to force the owner to have non certified, non original parts used in the repair of his vehicle even on structual parts that affect air bag timing. The consumer is lucky that a go along to get along shop is not making these repairs with unsafe parts and that he found a shop that will help him obtain repairs owed to him under the contract of insurance.
