National Museum of the US Air Force

This museum is located outside Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio, close to I-75, I-675, and I-70 (see map).

The Air Force museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. The museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

I have taken my children to the museum frequently, as they were growing up. My sons really loved the airplanes, we even got to watch a stealth land there. They are always adding new things and it is very interesting. My oldest son was studing the holocaust and really thought it was interesting and wanted to go to the museum to see their display. We have taken many of family members from out of town and they have all loved it. It is free, and really worth going!!!!

This museum is a great place for a family trip. The planes are on display and you can even get to go inside some of them and see how they work. Now if you are a teacher wonderful fun place for kids, there is a place to eat there, a IMAX and games for the kids to experiment with.
