I really enjoyed this museum. There are a wide variety of Navy, Marine, and Coast Guard aircraft to marvel over. There were so many planes that I can't decide what to mention. My personal favorite was the NC-4 flying boat, a 4-engine, two-wing monster that was the first plane to fly the Atlantic Ocean. There is a recovery capsule from one of the space flights, as well. The museum is well laid out, making easy to see everything, even though it's packed to the gills.
Open 9-5, every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. The museum is free, although there is a donation box I would encourage you to use. The only thing you pay for is food, souvenirs, a flight simulator, and/or the IMAX. The IMAX always has the Blue Angels show, with two other other varying IMAX films.
Do you have children? Kids will love this place. Be aware, however, that 300,000 square feet is a big space, but when you put 160 or so military aircraft in it you better stay alert. It only takes a few seconds to have jet fighter between you and the little one, and an inattentive small person could end up bonking their head.
