Intro
Nancy Drew is a classic character for young girls, created by Carolyn Keene. Around more than 75 years, this teenage detective has appeared in books, television, and movies. For young girls of today that have role models such as Raven and Hannah Montana, here's yet another different type of role model in Nancy Drew. Out with a new film starring Emma Roberts, Nancy Drew shows young girls once again that it's okay to be different and smart.

Here's a list of ways to solve mysteries the Nancy Drew way:

1. Even though your father has forbade you to do any sleuthing, wanting you to be a more "normal" girl, rent a house that a famous actress was found mysteriously murdered in.

2. No matter how much pressure there is to dress more modern, keep wearing those cardigans and penny loafers.

3. Read every book that belonged to the actress. There's bound to be some hidden notes in there!

4. While the young brother of your nemesis can certainly be annoying, he only has your best interests at heart, after observing "the ability to sleuth is an attractive quality in a woman." It's either him or Ned.

5. Keep your eye on that caretaker. He certainly seems suspicious.

6. Offer those not willing to help you lemon bars and blondies that you have hidden along with the rest of your sleuthing equipment, packed away neatly in your bag. They'll come around.

7. If a closet seems abnormally shallow, there has to be a reason. Maybe it's a hidden passageway!

8. Look in the attic for any hidden evidence, but watch out for that wily caretaker!

9.
When you find that the will is hidden in a chinese box, drive into China Town in your Roadster and look through every box you can find.

10. While escaping the bag guys through the window and sneaking out across the scaffolding, pick up that clipboard holding the lost will with a string and paper clip.

While the film itself seemed to go a little slowly at first, the teenage girls in the audience didn't seem to think so, as they giggled throughout and talked nervously about the boys in the film. It's probably not anything adults would want to see alone, but if there's a young girl in your life, go ahead and take her, perhaps introducing her for the first time to the world of Nancy Drew.
