A water bottle is not really that big a deal. You can get one almost anywhere, and they can be very inexpensive. If you buy water, it comes in a bottle for free. If you are going out in the woods, and need to be carrying water, you need to invest in a Nalgene water bottle.
Nalgene water bottles are tough. We used to make a game out of trying to break it, but never did, tough. The lid is attached by a thingy that makes a loop when you screw it on, so you can hang it on your pack, or belt, or whatever.
I don't like small mouth bottles. You can't get regular ice cubes in them and they won't match up with any water purification systems. If you like samll mouth bottles, though, this is the one for you.
Definitely worth the money.
