The other day a package arrived in the mail. It was a box of the mini Oreo cakesters. My younger kids seen the box and hollered they wanted one. I thought what in the world was the hoopla. My teen however had one of the regular kind of cakesters before. He said they sucked and wanted to know why I bothered getting a box of the mini ones.
Now mind you when it comes to my teen, I don't rely on what he thinks taste good. As we have different likes when it comes to food and snacks. Always have. So, I was really excited to try a pack of the mini Oreo cakesters.
I had the kids do their homework, eat dinner, and get their baths. When I finally handed each a pack of the mini Oreo cakesters. My daughter opened hers and was absolutely funny to watch eat them. You can tell she was a girl and enjoyed chocolate. Because she oohed and ahh'd the whole time. I wish I would of got it on video. You all would of gotten a kick out of action.
My middle son loved the Oreo mini cakesters as well. He informed that is all he wants as a snack for now. I laughed and said," These are a special treat. We will see about getting more as a reward."
Now my teenage son was very skeptical about trying these mini Oreo cakesters. Like I said before he had the larger version and did not like them. But he finally gave in as he has a sweet tooth. He went from skeptical to a fan of the mini Oreo cakesters in a flash. He soon was begging for more as well. I just laughed.
Now it was my turn to try these mini ore cakesters. I sat down at my computer, open up a pack and took a nibble. I found the mini Oreo cakesters to be really soft and moist. I figured they would be more like a brownie texture. But they weren't. Now I think about it. I think I was hooked on them as soon as I took the first nibble. As I took the second pack and hid them for a later time for myself as a treat. Lol. I know I am bad. But hey! Moms deserve a little treat once in awhile to.
I will say mini Oreo cakesters will be in my shopping cart the next time I see them in a store. They are well worth it to try them. They are like mini bits of cake with a creamy filling. Not to sweet and the chocolate is not overwhelming. But just the right amount to get any real chocoholic hooked. I know they did me.
