I admit it...I'm addicted to MySpace.  I check it ALMOST as much as I check my email.  I'm not sure what I find so fascinating, but I'm hooked.

It has reconnected me with high school pals.  Long lost friends from my childhood have "friended" me again.  I even talk to family members that I rarely communicate with and see even less.  I think alot of it has to do with how easy it is.  You have a choice of when you wish to communicate.  If I feel like chatting, I leave a comment or send a message.  They respond in kind if and when they like.  It's nothing like having a conversation either in...

Myspace is a community oriented website that allows you to create YOUR own space.  Sign up for an account (it's free), fill out your profile, add some pictures, find a  cool background and you have Myspace.

Myspace allows you to connect with other members by requesting their friendship to your page or vice versa.  You can leave fun comments on your friends page, view their photos, send private email to them, etc.

Myspace allows you to add music to your profile, upload videos and put just about anything that is legal on your Myspace page.

Myspace is so fun and you can meet some great people.  It is really easy to find people you haven't seen for a long time.  It is a great way to keep in touch with family.  Lots of classmates to get back in touch with.  You can customize your page to have anything you want on it.  A good way to express your opinions and blog things.  You can make it secure by only allowing your friends to view information about you.

The bad things about this are there is a lot of scammers, a lot of people trying to get you to sign up for dumb things, you have to be careful of the information you put on there...

When it comes to online communities, no site has received more publicity (both positive and negative) recently than MySpace.com.  The intent of MySpace is to have an online community where people can meet other people, hook up with friends from the past, and write a daily blog that can be read by the world.  While a social site, it is also a tool to express ones self, and the freedoms afforded the user are just about limitless, giving people the ability to post nearly anything that might share a piece of their personality.

Here's the deal.  I'm a Mom of two, a wife, I have lots of pets & I work.  So that leaves me ZERO time for a social life.  Sadly, myspace IS my social life.  I can sit in my home, and 'visit' friends when I have the time.  I've met some great people too.  When I seperated from my husband, I found a great support group with some of the women there.  Sure, there are the occasional jerks that try to come onto you, but that happens no matter where you go.  It's just a fun place to go.  I also like to write, so I blog from time to time.  It's also a great way to keep in touch with friends...

I have four grandsons and two with my space accounts.  I have seen first hand what is written on these web site.  I do not believe that it is free of danger for young people.  I know that there are dangeous people faking their identify and using my space to attract young people.  There are many young people on my space that are lonely, scared, looking for friendship and they use this tool to try and find what they feel they are missing in their life.

I joined myspace several months ago and am very unhappy with it.

It is hard to navigate around the site. Then when you do get in to the right part of it, it is hard to do anything with it.

I have tried many times to add new apps. I cannot add any at all. I have written to them several times & they keep sending me back to the same place where I am told I can manage the apps. I cannot do this since I have no apps added. I told them this & they still send me back to manage apps section. I have had NO satisfaction with them at all.
