I admit it...I'm addicted to MySpace. I check it ALMOST as much as I check my email. I'm not sure what I find so fascinating, but I'm hooked. — It has reconnected me with high school pals. Long lost friends from my childhood have "friended" me again. I even talk to family members that I rarely communicate with and see even less. I think alot of it has to do with how easy it is. Younger members of my family talked me into getting a MySpace account. They each have a page in MySpace and numerous 'friends'. They blog and have a great time. I never really wanted a Myspace account until I moved to a new town and met some new friends. All of my coworkers were on myspace, so they helped me setup an account and it is a great way to stay connected. We are able to post messages to each other and take fun surveys. I love this site because everyone can express who they are on their profile page and you are able to search for lost friends and family. When it comes to online communities, no site has received more publicity (both positive and negative) recently than MySpace.com. The intent of MySpace is to have an online community where people can meet other people, hook up with friends from the past, and write a daily blog that can be read by the world. Myspace is so fun and you can meet some great people. It is really easy to find people you haven't seen for a long time. It is a great way to keep in touch with family. Lots of classmates to get back in touch with. You can customize your page to have anything you want on it. A good way to express your opinions and blog things. Here's the deal. I'm a Mom of two, a wife, I have lots of pets & I work. So that leaves me ZERO time for a social life. Sadly, myspace IS my social life. I can sit in my home, and 'visit' friends when I have the time. I've met some great people too. When I seperated from my husband, I found a great support group with some of the women there. Well to start off my friend had me sign up she told me I would totally love it.Well I do.Not only have I got back in contact with old friends my family that lives in other staes have it too and it is great! I also love that they have a myspace im that puts all you friends (up to 200) on there so you can also chat online with them.I love how easy it is to change layouts add music and awesome cute lil graphics! After years of purposely avoiding signing up for MySpace, I finally gave in, and hardly ever log on to update my profile or modify my "top eight." I just feel too old for this - the internet has passed me by and MySpace is for kids. Nearly a year ago, I made a MySpace memorial site, for my daughter who died of cancer/leukemia. I did this so that family & friends could use this space to keep her memory alive & we could go there to leave her comments or add something to the space to remind us of her. At the time I started it, I accidentally gave the wrong email address. That email address is how I access her space every day, that I go there. However, it was never able to be confirmed, by MySpace. Ah, myspace. Where do I begin? When I first joined this site, a friend from Texas told me about it and said that I should join so that we could view each other's photos and keep in touch online. I searched for other people I knew for almost two hours and didn't find a single one. The site was brand new then.
