This is the second time MyPoints has attempted to refuse an award am due. I attended a seminar for a reward of 3550 points and am still fighting them weeks later to get wat I earned. I have concrete proof I fulfilled my end of the deal, and they are still ignoring my requests with generic emails that indicate they do not even read the emails they are sent.
I went to Hawaii in December also and had to fight them for those points as well. I booked my trip thru them. The deal was 10 points per dollar and they tried to award me 210 points for a deal worth over 5000. Anytime I have earned a large reward it seems they conveniently find a way to not give them.
When this is over, and I am gonna fight them on this, I am spending whatever points I have and getting out.
I have been a member of Mypoints for many years. I have accumulated points for filling out surveys and clicking on adds. I became disapointed in the service when I was unable to be credited points I had earned for purchases which were eligible, and when I did not receive the rewards that I selected.
My first issue has been an ongoing one. I purchase ink from and online retailer. Mypoints is supposed to credit the points within 20 days of the purchase. I follow the directions for earning points. (must use a click thru email or link on mypoints page to earn the points, correct username and email etc). The points are never credited unless I write and complain (after the 20 days). Their custome service people don't seem to read the emails I send regarding the issue, since they frequently request info that I had already put in the original email. In the 2 years that I have been ordeing ink, they have never fixed the problem.
My second issue is about a premium I attempted to redeem. I selected the 25 dollar visa for 3500 points. The reward page said the award would be made in 10-15 days. So I waited. I wanted the visa for my birthday, which was a month away.
After waiting the 15 days, I emailed them saying I had not gotten the item. They said I had to wait 4-6 WEEKS. I responded that the page said 10-15 days and asked that the premuim be issued or the points credited to my account. My birthday came and went with 1 email telling me that they were 'investigating' and I would have a response in a few days. I waited another week and emailed them again. I never received a response.
I cashed in the remaining points I had on premiums I really didn't want, I received some of them, and I canceled my account.
A few days ago I received an email in response to the first complaint about the ink cartridges saying the points had been credited to my account (which I already closed). Sounds like the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing.
