Contrary to popular belief in other reviews, this MyPlace table is a godsend for me.  I am medically challenged being that I have to keep my legs elevated as much as possible.  So I have pillows on my coffee table.  My laptop use to sit on a laptop table that had cushions under it that I purchased from Staples some time ago.  Over time, those cushions broke down after repeated washings.  I took the cushions off permanently and placed the flat table on another pillow that rests on my lap.  It worked although all the angles were wrong not only for the laptop keyboard but also for the mouse, whIch I use a lot.

I bought one of those APC coolers that had a riser on it.  Worked ok but the tilt was still too low.  Then I saw this MyPlace table at Staples.  Unbelievable.  I am so happy Staples carry it as I have never seen the MyPlace table before.  Not even on TV.  I bought it.  I'm thrilled. Especially with the light although I wish it was USB powered rather then battery powered.  Still, the laptop continues to sit on the APC cooler which sits on the MyPlace tray in the flat position.  The angle is just right for typing now.  Plus, I raised the mouse MyPlace tray at an angle and it is perfect for my hands and wrists.  The awkward angles no longer exist and the pain in my wrists has gone away.

I didn't extend any of the legs on the MyPlace table.  Kept them folded and put the MyPlace table on the pillow which is better for my legs anyway.  At least now nothing slips around like it did on the flat table.  You might say I went from what I thought was a perfect solution to a better perfect solution.  If I move to a regular desk, I can use the MyPlace table with an external keyboard because the screen will be at the right height.

Now, in defense of some of the other reviews, I have a 15 inch laptop screen unit which gives it a small footprint.  I can see where one of those massive 17 inch laptops could have a problem sitting on the MyPlace table.  Not just from their footprint but also the weight.  My width of the laptop is only 13 inches which fits the MyPlace tray nicely.

I wish the rubber pad for the mouse was longer.  Instead, I put my MouseRug on the MyPlace table to get the length I need.  Perfect fit for me.  Plus, the MouseRug gives me great color as an accent to the table.

I highly recommend the MyPlace table for anyone who has a 15 inch laptop (or smaller) and/or is confined to their chair/couch because of a medical challenge.  This MyPlace table would not work well for kids doing paper drawings, as was suggested by one reviewer.

I'm adding to my review by saying I'm still using it and continue to recommend it. Unfortunately, it's hard to find as not many outlets carry it.

Nice review. I rate this product actually 4 out of 5 due to the solely right handed design. I am a freelance graphic artist and I really enjoy the ability to take my workstation with me, I CAN use my right hand for the computer mouse but I CANNOT use my right hand to draw or design graphics :\ Other than that it does a good job with keeping my lap cool.
