I am tempted to write about my favorite movies from each era but that could get boring. My first and most simple characteristic that a movie has to have to make my list is must grab my attention and provide an escape from the daily grind. If I am looking at my watch, or nodding off then it simply is not a good movie (in my world).
In no particular order my picks are:

read full review »In choosing 15 movies to recommend that everyone see, I would have list why everyone should see them. I would say that a movie is on my list of all time favorites because overall it is great, but specifically it has to have a good story that is easy to follow. It has to grab my attention and keep it. It needs to have great visual quality, good acting and overall just be fun to watch. read full review »My favorite all-time movie is Gone With The Wind. I have seen it over 200 times, next comes The Green Berets with John Wayne (I am a retired Green Beret.), The rest are not in any particular order, Grease, The Longest Day, Red River John Wayne's best movie.
I like Peter Pan, Snow White, Bambi, and The Lion King by Disney. I loved both versions of The Pink Panther. War Games and Glory are definitely on my list. Any movie with Will Smith makes my list. I can sit and watch old musicals all day, West Side Story, Doris Day's and Debbie Reynolds" movies give me goose bumps.
